Jean Moreau de Séchelles

Hi Epidosis! Thanks for your wellcome message. I have a question regarding Jean Moreau de Séchelles. I think his year of death is wrong. It was by an IP-adress in to the french wikipedia, the article was then into english. And form there the date was written in to wikidata. While different wikipedias and wikidata say Moreau de Séchelles died 1761, other wikipedias and all the litterature I found, say he died 1760. Hi @Zumedi:, thanks very much for your message. For all statements which have no source, or have only Wikipedia(s) as source(s), you can just edit them (i.e. change the value, if necessary) replacing the Wikipedia-source with one or more true sources, like the ones you cite. I did it on Jean Moreau de Séchelles (Q950360) (using only those which provided also the day of death and not only the year); I have also edited English Wikipedia, where 1761 had no source. Qualificatori di Creatore

Ciao, secondo te qual’è l’uso corretto di creatore (P170) quando è presente un qualificatore del tipo di “bottega di”, “seguace di”, etc.

Vedi il caso di Q120035369 dove sicuramente il creatore non è Bellini ma non si accetta “anonimo”.

Tra l’altro manca tra i qualificatori possibili “ e aiuti” oppure “e bottega”, Zanekost (talk) 16:51, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

@Zanekost: l'elemento di esempio di workshop of (P1774) è Tobias and the Angel (Q1635039); sulla base di quest'ultimo esempio ho modificato Madonna and Child (Q120035369). Sui qualificatori mancanti potrei avere un'idea di come supplire, se mi dai degli esempi per entrambi posso provare a proporre possibili soluzioni. Buona serata, Epìdosis 19:48, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Grazie. Allora basta non inserire nulla nel campo principale e qualificare con “quel che è” poi specificare “ruolo del soggetto” = “anonimo” ?

Però devo dire che non mi pare particolarmente intuibile che il ruolo sia riferito al creatore…

Quanto agli esempi di un creatore con l’aiuto della bottega te ne esemplifico solo tre riferiti al Giambellino di cui gli stessi musei asseriscono la collaborazione della bottega: Q3842590; Q64787463; Q19911550.

Quanto a mettere "e bottega" oppure "e aiuti" può lasciare una certa libertà in caso non sia conclamata la struttura di una bottega. Zanekost (talk) 21:32, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

@Kolja21: I cannot find decisive sources; many websites say "Giacomo Rocchetti (Rocca?)", so it seems the identification is not fully sure, although highly probable; I have added said to be the same as (P460) and I would keep them distinct, at least as of now. --Epìdosis 07:57, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

Giovanni Bruni (Q125921261), author of Monete lucane e bruzie nel Museo di Catanzaro (1977), needs a GND but there is no information about him. He could be a numismatist or a classical archaeologist. @Kolja21: I agree with the identification of the museum; for Giovanni Bruni, unfortunately the name is very common and he seems to have not published nothing else (I have also searched in SBN and I have isolated him from homonyms; I find only another publication which may belong to him, regarding also Catanzaro); I cannot provide any further information, unfortunately. Ciao! Ok, uhm, non l'ho mai usato e partendo da zero per me è arabo. Per te sarebbe un problema buttarmi giù un batch esemplificativo (una roba veloce, per un paio di elementi con giusto 3-4 campi)? Allora, sono riuscito a far girare il tutto alla prima prova (Q126617137); ho solo due dubbi: 1) non so come inserire le coordinate (ho provato a virgolettarle ma non ne voleva sapere, vanno formattate in qualche modo particolare?) 2) i quickstatements funzionano solo su elementi già esistenti o si possono usare anche per creare un elemento ex novo? --Syrio posso aiutare? 10:38, 14 June 2024 (UTC)

@Syrio: ciao, QS si può usare anche per creare nuovi elementi, se usi la sintassi CSV basta semplicemente lasciare la prima colonna qid vuota e anziché modificare un elemento esistente verrà creato un nuovo elemento; in generale puoi sempre far riferimento al manuale che è molto chiaro nel complesso (Help:QuickStatements, sezione CSV file syntax); per le coordinate il formato è @LAT/LON (vedo che questo formato non è specificato nella sezione CSV file syntax, ma solo nella sezione superiore; ho rimediato). Arieccomi :S ho preparato un CSV per cinque elementi (in realtà sei perché ho dimenticato dentro anche i dati di quello che ho creato prima); i primi due, rispetto agli altri, avevano in più il parametro "dedicato a", che negli altri era lasciato vuoto. L'ho fatto girare, ha creato i primi due elementi senza problemi, e si è inceppato sugli altri. Pensavo che fosse per la presenza del parametro vuoto, ma provando a rilanciare il csv per i soli elementi mancanti (che a questo punto sono tre, avendo "riciclato" il doppione che ho creato), mi dà continuamente errore; eppure nell'anteprima che ti fa vedere prima di partire a me sembra tutto in ordine. Dove sto sbagliando? Il csv è questo:

@Syrio: vedo: dunque, il senso dell'errore "Bad value type quantity, expected string" è che lui interpreta come quantità alcuni valori che dovrebbero essere stringhe; non ti dice quali, ma si tratta specificamente di Monumentbrowser ID (P8543) che è un identificativo esterno (e gli identificativi esterni sono trattati esattamente come stringhe); le stringe nella sintassi CSV di QuickStatements devono sempre essere circondate da """stringa""" quindi es. sopra dovresti avere non 16354 ma """16354"""; idem nelle righe sotto. Congratulations on receiving the bot flag for your bot! I'll already see its edits on my watchlist. The code could probably be used for other references, such as IdRef ID (P269) and Bibliothèque nationale de France ID (P268) - I also saw this related request from @Jahl_de_Vautban. @Difool: thanks very much for your congratulations! I surely intend to recycle my code for other fixes to references and surely the request by Jahl to which you point would be an easy but important task to which I could commit. I don't know when I will finish these fixes to sex or gender (P21) since there is a very big amount of references to fix, but I will surely bear in mind the IDREF fix for that time. Thanks also for taking care of the VIAF part, it is much needed; I'm sorry for not having contributed much to solving User:Difool/viaf already somewhere in the last months, I have had many things to do for my PhD and also here on Wikidata (I have been busy contacting some authority files to obtain fixes to mistakes I noticed through Wikidata, and I have also continued my longstanding activity of merging duplicate humans and of taking care of unique-value constraint violations for some authority files); I hope to be able to help you again when the list will be enlarged again during the new bot run, although I fear that at least in the second half of this year my other activities won't decrease; I will anyway try to help, this task is very important and deserves to be undertaken by more users. Quali riferimento è più opportuno?

Buondì Epì! In oggetto una domanda da niubbo quale sono! Finora ho sempre inserito proprietà agli elementi senza aggiungere i rispettivi riferimenti ma reputando sia più completo e informativo evidenziare la fonte del dato inserito, mi ritrovo a non sapere quale riferimento utilizzare. Nello specifico, al momento con il mio bot mi sto occupando di film; in sostanza leggo l'ID di IMDb o TMDb (che sono i database più ampi per quanto riguarda i film) direttamente dal sito per il quale sto inserendo l'asserzione e cerco la rispettiva entità su Wikidata. Stavo pertanto iniziando a usare based on heuristic (P887) con inferred from IMDb ID database lookup (Q115288501) come riferimento ma noto che altri utenti utilizzano piuttosto stated in (P248). Tenchiu @Epìdosis, sempre precisissimo! Capito, in tal caso convertirò le attuali P887 che ho inserito con le P248 composte come da tua spiegazione. @Wiccio: Io direi di aggiornare la data di consultazione; cioè, retrieved (P813) attesta la data in cui hai estratto i dati dal database, se li estrai ora vale la data odierna, se li estrai tra sei mesi andrebbe messa la data di tra sei mesi; perché comunque retrieved (P813) non riguarda la data di ultima modifica di IMDb, ma la data in cui tu hai estratto le informazioni da IMDb. Nomisma MnM

Ciao Epi, vedo che qualcuno (@Liber008:) a importato un nuovo catalogo MnM per Nomisma, però al momento manca la proprieta Nomisma ID (P2950) ; potrebbi aggiungerla? Cosi possiamo anche validare le 2k+ links che abbiamo già. Inoltre, siccome questo nuovo catalogo sembra risultare più completo che il vecchio, forse questo sarebbe da cancellare. Ciao @Jahl de Vautban:, è un piacere risentirti! Ho disattivato il vecchio catalogo MnM di Nomisma e ho legato la proprietà Nomisma ID (P2950) al nuovo catalogo. Non ho ancora fatto la sincronizzazione (ma chiunque la può fare ora) perché ho trovato un certo numero di abbinamenti che mi lasciavano perplesso, tipicamente abbinamenti tra zecche (mints) di Nomisma e città antiche o città moderne (es.). L'abbinamento ideale sarebbe quello tra una zecca di Nomisma e una zecca di Wikidata (e.g. Okalakom (Q109791897)). Da questo punto di vista, ci sono ancora alcune centinaia di abbinamenti scorretti da rimuovere, e ovviamente rimuoverli quando sono solo su Wikidata è più facile che rimuoverli quando sono sia in Wikidata sia in Mix'n'match. L'ideale sarebbe trovare un modo per individuare tutti gli ID di zecche, vedere se sono legati in Wikidata a zecche o a città, rimuoverli da Wikidata e poi fare la sincronizzazione; ma non ho ancora trovato un modo sicuro per individuare tutti gli ID di zecche.
