    Man sah unten eine kleine Tür, noch niedriger als die Türen hier im Gange, nicht nur Jeremias, auch Frieda mußte sich beim Hineingehen bücken, innen schien es hell und warm zu sein, man hörte noch ein wenig Flüstern, wahrscheinlich liebreiches Überreden, um Jeremias ins Bett zu bringen, dann wurde die Tür geschlossen.
