Hi, I’d like to offer my help as an administrator. Although there are enough administrators for my languages (mostly German and English), I feel that there’s a general shortage of active administrators at the moment.

I have been active on Wikidata for some two years now with the bulk of my contributions coming after June 2020. My main field of interest in Wikidata are (and probably will continue to be) items about persons with a focus on women and persons related to Austria. However, I have also developed an interest in properties, WD:RfD and (to a lesser extent) vandalism fighting. I have been a property creator since February and a rollbacker since March.

In the beginning, I would use my additional privileges for deleting items that clearly fail WD:N, blocking vandals and semi-protecting items. --Emu (talk) 11:49, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am ignoring my doubts about giving admin buttons to a user who has recently claimed some nonsense regarding me for supposedly wanting to delete an article in EN:WP (which I was not even following, and still is not on my watchlist; and I very rarely visit that WP BTW) about a nonsense redundant meatball dish. This, in relation to have been blocked from that precious WP some 7 years ago, if I still can manage to remember. In other words, I was crazy to delete a stupid dish article of two or three baseless sentences and after so many years, and was trying to use and abuse WD for that... I hope our new admin does not get involved too much about that kind of issues because this could hurt users who are only trying to help WD in goodwill, day and night. I do not like to vote on these elections, this is why I write here. Once in a sister project, even without participating at a vote for admin election, I made the mistake to tell someone "frankly" (something that characterises me, my name would certainly be Frank if I were born in an English-speaking country :) that I would not like to see him as an admin, he followed, hounded and harassed me to the level of voluntarily leaving that project to protect my ease of mind and spirit. I only won more time for real life, but that project lost some user with around 100 K contributions. Sorry for all the nonsense I just wrote, I am just applying therapy to myself.
