Discussion
[edit]- Comment should this replace OpenStreetMap tag or key (P1282) as it probably would be available for any of them? --- Jura 16:37, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Neutral @Jura1: As I can see now, the OSM wikibase contains only key and tag values (up to now?). Before there is no further development at OpenStreetMap e.g. to include other entities in their wikibase, it probably make less sense to create a new wikidata property, except of an advantages in a multilingual use case. - Comment about Property:P1282, not understand why duplicate here... Please explain. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Krauss (talk • contribs) at 01:48, 2 October 2018 (UTC).
- @Krauss: as i explained above, unless osm wikibase contains other items/concepts than tags or keys, this property isn't useful. Mfchris84 (talk) 09:38, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
- Comment SPARQL federation might be a better way to integrate them: Wikidata:SPARQL_federation_input. --- Jura 17:52, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose per above. --- Jura 14:28, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- Not done, the discussion has stalled and shows a limited interest at the moment. It is not clear if that is the best way to link two Wikibase instances together - this is an ongoing technical debate. Feel free to reopen if the use case becomes clearer. − Pintoch (talk) 21:14, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
