Hello! I'm Hachijo8, or just Hachijo. I'm a hesitantly proud late Millennial, but a much prouder [[railfan]], transport history enthusiast and supporter of [[New Urbanism]]. I mostly cover the [[Philippine National Railways]] and its (superior) predecessors, the Manila Railway and Manila Railroad Companies. Unlike the country's more mainstream railfan community, I act independently and don't belong to any Filipino railfanning organization i.e. {{tooltip|1=PTERC|2=Philippine Train Enthusiasts and Railfans Club}} and {{tooltip|1=PRHS|2=Philippine Railway Historical Society}}, etc. However, I'm grateful for their work that allows people to learn what would have been a forgotten piece of Philippine history.
