Rename to Landing ship medium?
There is a thread at the Ships project to remove capitalisation from article names. This would affect all ship articles that are for class or type names (such as this), rather than the names of individual ships. See WT:WikiProject Ships#Capitalisation (yet again) Andy Dingley (talk) 18:45, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Armaments
There seems to be a discrepancy between the infobox and photo. The photo shows a craft with four single Oerlikons and a single forward Bofors (no aft gun), but the infobox says two Bofors guns. So, on that basis (and plenty of evidence for some of these craft having only Oerlikon guns, I'm modifying the infobox armament details. Cost

[edit]

I found this article pertaining to costs of various military equipment, among the list was: "A landing ship tank costs $2,000,000; a landing ship medium, $l,000,000); a landing craft Infantry, $700,000." (Camp Barkeley Military, Civilian Groups Invest $1,500,000 in Bonds in 5 Months. Photos

[edit]

For the German article I have uploaded a number of US Navy photos. They are available under Commons, Category:Amphibious ships of the United States. Also the new and pretty long German article contains a lot of additional info extracted taken from Navsource. --KuK (talk) 10:08, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Info, not list

[edit]

It would be nice if we could have info on the different classes instead of just a list. There already IS a list of LSMs on its own page. PaleoKaden (talk) 17:41, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
