Izabela Wilczek is a fashion model and beauty queen from Poland. She was crowned as Miss Earth Poland 2009. She competed in the ninth edition of the international Miss Earth 2009 beauty pageant, which was co-produced by Carousel Productions and ABS–CBN Broadcasting Corporation. She was chosen as one of the top eight finalists in the competition.[1][2]
Miss Earth 2009
Wilczek was selected and crowned Miss Earth Poland 2009. She represented Poland in the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant held at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in the Island of Boracay, Philippines, which started on November 1, 2009 and concluded on November 22, 2009.[3][4][5] The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations.[6]
In the final competition of the Miss Earth 2009, she was announced as one of the top 16 semi-finalists who moved forward to compete for the title. She achieved one of the eight highest scores in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions for her stage chops, which earned her a spot in the final top eight of the competition. The pageant, which promotes environmental awareness, was won by Larissa Ramos of Brazil and participated by 80 delegates representing various countries in the world. The event was and telecast on Channel 2 in the Philippines and by The Filipino Channel internationally. [7][8]
