The Camp Napoleon Council was a meeting of a number of indigenous tribes in Oklahoma that resulted in an intertribal compact. The council was held at Cottonwood Camp on May 24, 1865 near present day Verden, Oklahoma.[1]

More than a dozen tribes in Indian Territory agreed to discontinue fighting with each other and agreed to form a confederation to maintain the integrity of Indian Territory. They also elected delegates to go to Washington to work out the details with the government.
