Shrimp and grits is a traditional dish in the Low Country of coastal Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. It is traditional breakfast dish. Grits may be accompanied by fried catfish or salmon croquettes.
