Novokubansky District (Template:Lang-ru) is a district (raion) of Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Its administrative center is the town of Novokubansk. The Kuban River is flowing through the district. District's population: 87,478 (2002 Census). Over 40% of the district's population live in Novokubansk.

The area of the district is 1,823 km². There are 51[citation needed] settlements in Novokubansky District. The majority of population are ethnic Russians.

Climate and economy

Novokubansky District is vulnerable to extended drought conditions. Average annual precipitation is 551 mm. The district has very fertile soil, so the agriculture and food industry are developed in the region. Farmlands cover 1,370 km², or 75% of the district's territory.

Major federal roads and railway pass through the district, playing a substantial role in its economy and life of local communities.
