Young Liars is a Canadian indie rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. The band was formed in 2008 and was named after the David Lapham comic Young Liars.[1]

On November 9, 2011, Nettwerk Records announced that Young Liars had signed to the Vancouver-based label. The label stated that Young Liars will be releasing their debut full-length album in 2012.[2]

Music

Their musical style is upbeat and reminiscent of Foals, Hot Chip and Phoenix.

Homesick Future

Young Liars self-released their debut EP, Homesick Future, as a digital-only album on February 24, 2011. The EP featured seven tracks. The band stated in various interviews and a now-deleted note on their Facebook page that Homesick Future would eventually be released as a vinyl LP.

Remixes of selected tracks from Homesick Future were later released: "Colours" (Teen Daze Remix), "Marathon" (Pro Nails Remix), "Marathon" (Brian Holt Remix)

Touring

Young Liars has primarily performed around the metro-Vancouver area and western Canada.

The band performed at the Sled Island festival in 2011 in Calgary, AB, Canada.

The band made their USA debut in October 2011 at Filter Magazine's Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles, CA. [3]
