Young Liars is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia. On November 9, 2011, Nettwerk Records announced that they had signed Young Liars to their record label. The label stated that Young Liars will be releasing their debut full-length album in 2012.[1]

Music

Their musical style is upbeat and reminiscent of Foals, Hot Chip and Phoenix. The band cites Tower of Power, Antonio Sanches and David Bowie as their key influences. The band was was named after the David Lapham comic Young Liars.[2]

Homesick Future

Young Liars self-released their debut EP, Homesick Future, as a digital-only album on February 24, 2011. The EP featured seven tracks.

Touring

Young Liars has primarily performed around the metro-Vancouver area and western Canada.

The band performed at the Sled Island festival in 2011 in Calgary, AB, Canada.

The band made their USA debut in October 2011 at Filter Magazine's Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles, CA. [3]
