The Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC) is the headquarters of the Defense Intelligence Agency. It is located on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC. The DIAC was built in 1987 and designed by Smith, Hinchman and Grylls Associates to consolidate DIA activities in the Washington, DC area. The DIAC is the headquarters of the National Intelligence University and the Defense Intelligence Operations Coordination Center as well home to the John T. Hughes Library. In 2005 DIA opened the DIAC Expansion which allowed for more DIA personnel to serve under one roof than ever before and served as the headquarters for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from 2005 until 2008 when the DNI's own facility was opened in McLean, VA.[1] The DIAC also houses the DIA Patriot's Memorial which commemorates 21 Defense Intelligence Agency employees who have died in the service of the agency and of the United States as well as the 9/11 Memorial which honors seven employees who died in the attacks of September, 11 2001 at the Pentagon.

The Defense Intelligence Operations Coordination Center (DIOCC) is a United States Department of Defense organization under the Defense Intelligence Agency that is responsible for integrated intelligence operations and collection. Located in the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center, the DIOCC integrates into a single organization the functions of DIA’s Defense Joint Intelligence Operations Center (DJIOC) and the United States Strategic Command’s Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JFCC-ISR). The DIOCC also serves as the Defense Department’s focal point to interface with the newly established National Intelligence Coordination Center (NIC-C) under the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).[2]
