  2. User:EtienneDolet. I have over 14,000 edits. I have made at least 200 articles. I really need new databases to sources. Étienne Dolet (talk) 19:47, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Hello, I am user Tom. It's Monday 28th April in England, so I'm going to add my application. I am active in brands and business related pages. I am principally involved in content creation. I do not currently have access to the Oxford resources through my local library or university. I can receive email from Wikipedia users. I am ranked in the top 2500 Wikipedia users by number of edits. Tom (talk) 13:09, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Dank. 60k edits. I expect the the linguistics articles here will be quite helpful. - Dank (push to talk) 17:08, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Alexander Doria. 13k contributions on the French Wikipedia and several good articles on greek philosophers. I'm mostly interested in accessing the rich set of classic antiquity studies. Alexander Doria (talk) 17:14, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  6. I have over 10,000 edits on English Wikipedia since 2002; I frequently edit articles about scientific and mathematical history, and I lost my online OED access in 2009. Since then I have had to make do with my paper copy, which is much less convenient —Mark Dominus (talk) 17:29, 28 April 2014 (UTC).[reply]
  7. Would use it mostly in writing in the humanities but also fact checking science articles (using Bibliography for ecology and biology). -- Alanscottwalker (talk) 17:52, 28 April 2014
  8. I have made over 7k edits since early 2012, and I would find academic articles useful in creating and expanding articles in that range. Thanks, ~huesatlum 17:58, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  9. I would find the Dictionary of National Biography particularly helpful. SlimVirgin (talk) 18:01, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  10. FordPrefect42 (talk) with 44K contributions on de: wikipedia and 5.7K on en:. Would like to apply for Grove online access for working primarily in (classical) music themes. --FordPrefect42 (talk) 18:03, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  11. -- nearly 320.000 Edits at Wikimedia projects in more than 9 years, started some 1000s articles. Active at GLAM. And once more: this here depends to Meta, not to en:WP. We have Meta for that and as long the WMF pays for this, all Wikimedians in all projects have to have the same chance! Marcus Cyron (talk) 18:05, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  12. Hi, I'm User:Icarus of old, active since 2006. I write mainly about German and Austrian authors and literature, so the OUP would be an invaluable resource for me. All best. Icarus of old (talk) 18:12, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  13. I'm Density, with about 500 new articles in dewiki, winner of the 13th writing contest in dewiki. Emphasis on composer biographies, so especially interested in Grove Music Online access. --Density (talk) 18:42, 28 April 2014 UTC
  14. Hello I am User:Carriearchdale I have been on Wikipedia since 2007 and currently have over 2700 edits globally over all the wikis. I am interested in having access to this wonderful resource to expand and verify articles in several different interest areas including biographies, linguistics, literature, classic antiquity studies, the arts, and education. I do not have access through local libraries since I live in a quite rural type setting. I would especially like to have access to the "Dictionary of National Biography" to further my verification of bio articles and move into creation of new bio articles. Thanks for your kind consideration. Carriearchdale (talk) 19:19, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  15. Doc Taxon (talk) 19:38, 28 April 2014 (UTC)for researches in en:WP:REX and its brother de:WP:BIBR, and also for worthful development of articles[reply]
  16. User:Kmhkmh around 8800 edits in en.wp and around 33000 edits inen.wp since 2007. I could use tge account primarily for the verification and extension of existing articles, but possibly also for the occasional new one. Considering my work in WP in particular the access to the biographical material would be useful to me--Kmhkmh (talk) 19:32, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  17. User:JonRichfield. In the past four years or so I have done well over 3000 edits, and a fair proportion of my work has been on articles that I initiated. Most of the topics that I deal with are substantial, plus many RFCs (no groupie celeb touting for example). Most of my work is in a wide range of scientific and technical matters, particularly biological and computing, though I deal with a certain amount of historical and philological material as well. This often gets me into situations where OUP publications are the most desirable citations, and the accessible abstracts are not always an adequate basis for a good-faith citation. A good proportion of my work is in dealing with "citation wanted" material, so my requirements for reputable citations is atypically high. I am retired and cannot often reach the local university libraries where otherwise I could have got access to the desired publications, which I certainly could not afford myself, and do not apply for any material benefit to myself nor to any third party, commercial or otherwise. In short, I could make excellent use of access to the publications, publicising their value in the process. I am thoroughly aware of my responsibilities in protecting the interests of the publisher. Thank you for your attention. JonRichfield (talk) 19:56, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  18. Am Enock4seth from Ghana. Dictionary of National Biography will be of great use to me in writing and improving African biographies. →Enock4seth (talk) 20:10, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  19. On Wikipedia since January 2006 with 70,000 edits, 350+ articles created, 100+ articles substantially created, and 60+ DYKs. I work primarily on pre-20th century operas, opera singers, composers, and librettists, but also work on other pre-twentieth century arts-related topics, including writers, visual artists, paintings and historic theatres. I no longer have access to Grove Music and this would be invaluable in my work as would Oxford Art Online and the Dictionary of National Biography. Voceditenore (talk) 20:17, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  20. Salvador_alc I'm active in spanish projects, specially in spanish Wikipedia. Where I have ~7,500 edits. I'm active editing articles about philosophy and history of religions, mexican politics and law. I would use the account to increase the references in the articles of spanish Wikipedia related to that topics. Thank you in advance. Salvador alc (talk) 20:55, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  21. Justlettersandnumbers Access to Grove, Grove Art and the DNB would be invaluable to me, both in content creation and (in the case of the DNB) in copyright cleanup, this being unfortunately a much-plagiarised source. A Brit not living in the UK, I don't have access through a local library, and my Open University access has lapsed. OED access would be wonderful ... could they be persuaded to include that too? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:22, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  22. DJ Nietzsche +18,000 editions on Spanish Wikipedia since 2007. I usually write articles related to psychology and social sciences in general. The OUP account would be a very helpful resource for me. Thanks. --DJ Nietzsche (talk) 21:45, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  23. User:Ealdgyth I do not have access to Oxford journals at a local library, and now that I'm taking care of my elderly mother full time, I can no longer drive the hour and a half to get to a university library to access them. I write on equine subjects as well as medieval English history, usually ecclesiastical, but other aspects as well. I have well over 50 featured articles I've worked on, as well as over 100 Good articles, with a long list of other articles I wish to work on. I had been paying for ODNB access myself, but it would be much easier on my life if I didn't have to cough that amount up each year. (My paid access has lapsed two months ago ... its been tight this winter and I haven't managed to get the money together to renew) Ealdgyth - Talk 21:54, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  24. Ruby2010 30,000+ edits, I edit articles on historical figures, mainly British noblewomen from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Access to the ODNB would be invaluable (currently I access it through a friend, which obviously is not a great arrangement). Thank you for your consideration! Ruby 2010/2013 22:51, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  25. CutOffTies I edit a wide variety of articles, including musicians and authors. I feel that having access to this database will give valuable exposure to excellent sources in the humanities. 25000+ edits since 2007. Thank you! --CutOffTies (talk) 22:57, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  26. Iselilja I am active on English Wikipedia (6500 edits) and previously Norwegian Wikipedia (2500 edits, maybe will edit more again there) On English Wikipedia, I have started about 60 articles and written about 25 DYK articles; most of them within the last year and hope and expect to continue. On Norwegian Wikipedia, I used to be active in content competitions. I mostly write society related articles, both contemporary and historical; many biographies. The Norwegian Biographical Encyclopedia is available free online and I often use it when writing articles, so I know from experiences that these kind of sources can be helpful for me. Iselilja (talk) 23:13, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  27. Lightbreather Active in articles related to gun laws and gun violence prevention; biographies of living persons. Lightbreather (talk) 23:33, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  28. Kansas Bear 18K+ edits ranging from England to the Indus Valley from Late Antiquity to Mid 15th century. --Kansas Bear (talk) 01:17, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  29. User:Anita5192. I correct, enhance, document and sometimes create mathematics articles. I will use the OUP resources as references to verify undocumented principles. – Anita5192 (talk) 02:37, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  30. DendroNaja I have been a member for over a year, have well over 1400 edits, have promoted at least 5 or 6 articles to GA status, I am mainly interested in venomous snakes, snake venom, toxinology, psychology and pharmacology.
