Manu Chao

I'm not sure where you are, but Manu Chao is making one of his "exceedingly rare" US appearances at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. on August 1, 2006.[1] Maybe they're not so rare after all 8)--Rockero 19:21, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed he is performing in the Bay this year; however, this does not change the fact that his performances in the US are rare. A quick Google of the term "manu chao "rare US" concert" yields over one hundred hits, though most are to Lollapalooza press releases. Still, the last US performance I could find mention of was a handful of dates in Los Angeles in 2000 [4], pretty scarce for an artist who tours so extensively.HumbleGod 19:35, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't challenging the claim. I was just excited. I bet the government here discourages him from performing. PAZ, --Rockero 19:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marc Harrison correction--thanks!

Thanks for correcting the upper case in the title of this article. It was my first article, and I was looking through the help files to find out how to fix the title, when I noticed that you just had. How did you come to be looking at the page, anyway?Richardjames444 19:49, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Diamondlady AfD

Saw one of your responses on the Dr. Patti "Diamondlady" Diamond, DD AfD [2], and I just wanted to say I was very impressed with the way you handled that. Cheers. Luna Santin 00:58, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for help

Ok thanks for telling me. Ronan.evans 01:06, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kiki Carter

Thank you for the feedback on the Kiki Carter page. The whistle blower info is sourced to multiple newspaper articles, but being new to Wiki, am having a heck of a time figuring out the most graceful way to reference to multiple newspaper articles. Footnotes? Any help would be appreciated. Eaglefeather11 01:06, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help! Eaglefeather11 01:27, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Repmart

Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure it's entirely coincidental that "Repmart" is "Tramper" backwards. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:16, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've sprotected both AfD pages. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:39, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we are stepping over each other. Just for sakes, you don't need to be so stern right away with the "blocked" warning. :) -- Shane (talk/contrib) 21:59, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My first user page vandalism! What a milestone.

Thanks for reverting that vandalism to my user page. —Caesura(t) 21:12, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HG. I have translated this page, so you may want to reconsider your stance. Thanks, Blnguyen | rant-line 07:57, 17 July 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Many thanks for the barnstar. It was much appreciated.Blnguyen | rant-line 00:55, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to follow the steps for AfD, but it still ended up messed up, what did I skip? Antares33712 01:49, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

keeping it there, seems like it's just rewarding the vandal for their efforts--64.12.117.5 21:38, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3RR

Thanks for the link to 3RR. I'm fairly certain what I reverted was obvious vandalism, so I think that's an exception to the 3RR rule if I understand it correctly. Anyway, I'm done looking at WikiP for a while, so no worries :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Archer3 (talkcontribs) 19 July 2006 (UTC)

My bungled AfD of Maths A

Thanks for the reminder! I think I got confused and messed up the steps because (a) it was my first multiple AfD nomination, and (b) I added it to the List of Australia-related deletions, which made me think I had done Step 2! Regards, Canley 09:02, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Israel

is it not a fact that Israel is considered by the UN to be a sovereign nation??? The edit was meant to imply that that the United Nations does not consider the PLOs claim to the whole state of Israel to be valid. Jeff — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.74.70.152 (talkcontribs) 22 July 2006 (UTC)

  • I do not believe that last edit was a pov, it was a fact, Israel is regarded as a sovereign nation by the UN and most of the world. Jeff — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.74.70.152 (talkcontribs) 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Revert of good anon edit

Hi. My session dropped, and I seem to have been not logged on when I just made a grammar correction in Johnny Cash. I made it with an accurate edit summary: "none" takes a singular verb, which is correct. You reverted me with vandalproof. Please be more careful, I find that most anonymous edits are actually positive contributions, and this one was no exception. Thanks for your consideration. -GTBacchus(talk) 06:36, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, edit summaries are helpful. Anyway, in this case: "none of these friendships was/were about politics", don't we rephrase as "not one of these friendships was about politics", to see how it goes? -GTBacchus(talk) 06:44, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No hard feelings, I don't doubt your intentions at all. Still, could you explain the rule to me, so I'll know better in the future? I don't understand: ""none" traditionally takes the number of the word in which modifies it. What does that mean, in this case? -GTBacchus(talk) 06:51, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you; I get it now. -GTBacchus(talk) 06:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

tag change.

By inspecting the history, and looking at the talk page. you can see what is or is not a legit tag change. I'll change it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.196.128.174 (talkcontribs) 22 July 2006 (UTC)

User page edit

Hello, that wasnt no content removal which you guys call vandalism. Me and Pi were having a personal talk. There was no wiki content in that. Was just cleaning up MY user page discussions. I dont think there is anything wrong in that?!! You there? I think the edit should not have been reverted. Whats going on? Kind of a newcomer right now. Thanks. Further, if i registered now, will all my previous posts be converted to my new name??? Thanks.

Further to your last message

Hey, that particular message from pi was not a warning, it was a conversation I was having with him. I had a chat with pi about his warning. So, where is the question of misleading anyone about a conversation with pi and that would be a miscontruetion. I dont want to keep that converstation part on discussion, so dont I have the right to edit or delete my user page discussions?? I dont see how that is harming anyone! I would like to keep a clean slate and have already sorted it out with pi. If you want I can add POV to his warning. You mind if I clean up the page? I just like to keep things clear. Do I have the right to revert to the page as you saw it and add pov to pi's warning to make the point?? or maybe you have the right and should revert it back to its state. Thanks. I dont see why anyone should bother about the conversation and I want to clear it?

Are the warnings of you guys totally impersonal and everyone gets them a lot??
