Wonderful
[edit]I think it is truly wonderful that we are able to see the image because of the photo that Luc Viatour took back in 09/08/07. The DaVinci image would not be available without the digitization of the original analog image and now it graces Wikipaedia. Thanks again Luc! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.42.208.188 (talk) 14:54, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Original?
[edit]Can some body tell me which museum keeps the original copy of Leonardo da Vinci Vitruvian. (Want to know man):)
- See the article: "It is stored in the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, Italy". 66.102.80.224 (talk) 23:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Need to edit?
[edit]It's probably worth noting that the image itself is flipped horizontally, even though the "nº 1" and the "Leonardo da Vinci" text in the opposite corners is correct. If you open it up in a paint program and flip it, the word "homo" can be clearly seen twice in the third line. (Several numbers become apparent, as well.) 66.102.80.224 (talk) 23:03, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- The image is not flipped. Leonardo wrote from right to left (with his left hand). -Alatius (talk) 19:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Quirky. My apologies! 66.102.80.224 (talk) 15:19, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
