Request to change page name to Vijay (politician)

[edit]

Vijay is no longer an actor; he will stop acting in films after his 69th film. Therefore, please change the page name to "Vijay (politician)" and update his occupation to "Politician and former Indian actor." Additionally, the info box should reflect a political standard rather than one focused on his film career. His last film, "Vijay 69," is set to release in 2026. Just because he has started pursuing a career in politics does not mean that this is how he is generally known or most notable at this time. Wikipedia is not here to promote or emphasize the latest developments in his current initiatives.

Under the section Re-release film culture, it has been claimed that the film Ghilli grossed 100 crore after its re-release. However, if you look at the film's page, you can see that this is not true. There are other reliable sources that say the film grossed lesser.

Hence, please change this sentence "His other re-releases, Ghilli and Pokkiri acquired all-time hit status worldwide with Ghilli reaching the ₹100 crore mark" to this "His other re-releases, Ghilli and Pokkiri acquired all-time hit status worldwide".

https://www.firstpost.com/entertainment/tumbbad-box-office-sohum-shah-starrer-becomes-the-highest-grossing-re-release-in-india-since-2000-surpassing-thalapathy-vijays-ghilli-13818576.html
The above firstpost source says ghilli re-release collected 26.5 crore in India alone not worldwide used in Ghilli article and its 10 days gross comparison vs tumdadd film whereas ghilli was re-released worldwide and ran for 30 housefull days worldwide so it would have easily collected 50 crore worldwide in its re-release making it release and re-release total 100 crore worldwide as per thanthi tv source kindly change it 103.76.183.72 (talk) 15:09, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have accepted your request and reverted it based on inflation if a film collects 50 crore in 2004 its around 70 to 80 crores in 2024 and the source above states only the india re-release gross 26.5 crore not ww. Danteishere (talk) 18:09, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
