Győr (Hungarian: Győri járás) is a district in eastern part of Győr-Moson-Sopron County. Győr is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Western Transdanubia Statistical Region.

Győr District borders with Mosonmagyaróvár District, the Slovakian regions of Nitra Region and Trnava Region to the north, Komárom District and Kisbér District (Komárom-Esztergom County) to the east, Pannonhalma District and Pápa District (Veszprém County) to the south, Tét District and Csorna District to the west.
