The first 2021 NFL draft props are hot off the presses at William Hill Nevada.
Though Trevor Lawrence will almost certainly be selected with the first overall pick, there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding where the other quarterback prospects will wind up.
William Hill has released four 2021 NFL draft props relating to quarterbacks, including two head-to-heads and an over/under.
After Lawrence, other signal-callers such as Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance and Mac Jones could potentially be taken in the first round.
“All the other positions, there’s usually a lot more variance to how many players are going to get picked in the first round,” said Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading for William Hill US. “Everyone’s focused on the quarterbacks, so you mostly know what you’re going to get. You could have a quarterback with a late first-round projection go in the middle of the first. But it’s unlikely you’ll get someone projected to go in the third or fourth jump into the first.”
Wilson opened as the -700 favorite to be taken before Fields (+500) at William Hill, while Fields is listed at -1000 to go ahead of Lance (+650). With those three along with Lawrence aiming to hear their names called early, you can also bet whether the first four picks of the 2021 NFL draft will all be quarterbacks. NO is the heavy chalk at -1600, while YES is priced at +900.
The fourth prop available is the draft position of the last quarterback who is picked in the first round. The over/under is set at 15.5, with the over the sizable favorite at -180 and the under sitting at +160.
“The Patriots at 15 are a realistic option to take a quarterback, so I stuck it at 15.5,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill US. “Jones figures to go somewhere in the middle or end of the first round for now. He looked solid at the Senior Bowl and helped his cause out, he’s definitely worked his way up pretty good. But we’ll see what happens, it’s hard to book information-driven markets.”
