New Online Collection of WIPO Treaty Preparatory Documents

WIPO has launched WIPO Treaties: Preparatory Documents, an online collection for the “travaux préparatoires” of treaties the Organization administers, including the WIPO Convention.

Comprising the written records generated during the course of treaty negotiations, these legally-relevant preparatory documents represent a significant reference tool for the meaning and context of the WIPO Treaties. They unlock important insight for use by national legislatures, IP practitioners, researchers and students, and provide an indispensable reference for future treaty drafters and negotiators.

This important collection, distinguished by its completeness and accessibility, complements the existing informational and educational resources available for the WIPO-administered treaties and the vast wealth of IP legal information on laws, treaties and judgments in the WIPO Lex database.
