SALISBURY, Md. – Criminal charges have been issued against Stewart Perim, DDC, for several counts of insurance fraud.

We’re told the charges stem from a long-term investigation conducted by the Maryland State Police, Maryland Board of Dental Examiners, and the Office of the State’s Attorney for Wicomico County, with technical assistance from the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland and the National Insurance Crime Bureau. It is alleged that between 2013 and 2021, Perim fraudulently billed patients and their dental insurance companies for services not rendered.

Perim owns and operates his own dental practice, Peninsula Total Dental Care Center, located at 1505 S. Salisbury Boulevard. On September 28th, investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at the business.

Perim has been served with the charges, along with a summons commanding him to appear in court. The investigation is continuing, and police are asking anyone that may have information or believes they may be a victim to contact Trooper First Class G. Dick of the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack at 410-749-3101 or email [email protected].
