Proud Igorot cop leads PNP's Anti-Kidnaping Group (PNP-AKG)

Cordillera - The PNP-AKG has a new leader, PCOL RUDOLPH BOTENGAN DIMAS, who was officially installed in an assumption ceremony presided by PLTGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR at the AKG Headquarters in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City on April 28, 2021 to replace PBGEN JONNEL C ESTOMO.

Col Dimas who traces his roots to Besao, Mt.Province and La Trinidad Benguet took the helm of the AKG leadership on April 23, 2021. During his first command conference with the AKG troops, he issued his first marching order encapsulated in the acronym ROD.

He urged all unit commanders to Remember to always inform him of everything he needs to know so he could make the best decision for team AKG.

He told them to Overcome complacency and instill the highest form of discipline and professionalism among the troops. He promised to remove the biased treatment in the placement of officers in key positions so that everyone will have an equal opportunity to shine with him in AKG.

For the senior PNCOs, he urged them to Develop a nurturing attitude and be mentors to their juniors so that the rookie police officers will acquire the skills needed to be investigators, intelligence and combat operatives.

“Everyone in the group should be an Intel operative, an investigator, and a tactical operative to achieve the mission with ease and with flying colors”, he said.

Col Dimas thanked all those behind his success, specifically mentioning his parents Benjamin and Evelyn Dimas, his wife Christine, and their children Timothy John and Cheyenne for their consistent and all-out support.
