Once i had taken the Q from orgrimmar and then i got to mulgore to see what DF is. I got 5 tickets and i dont remember how, and later on i discarded them.

Now i cant see any quests to take only to deliver.

One guildmate told me to go to orgrimmar to retake the Q but i didn't find it. anyone has any idea?

35 tickets from Mini games daily (1x5x8days) ※ DMF starts at 0:00AM and daily resets at 3:00AM, so it can be completed twice in the first day.
8 tickets from 2 Primary professions (4x2)
12 tickets from 4 Secondary professions.(3x4)

Tickets rewards from the quest：70 (75 in first week for new char.)

There are other way to get more tickets.

You can loot those artifacts below from BG, dungeons and raids while 暗月冒险者指南 is in you inventory. They are tradeable and can only complete once per week ( I guess ).

5 tickets rewards - 阵亡者的旗帜, 收缴的徽记, 阵亡冒险者的日记 from enemy corpses in BG.

10 tickets rewards - 灌魔水晶, 怪异的蛋, 神秘的魔典, 精美的武器, 占卜者符文. The four before are from dungeons bosses and the last one is from raid bosses.

15 tickets rewards - 战略论 Can only loot from 85 heroic dungeons.

Max amount tickets rewards from artifacts per week：15+50+15=80

There are some reference to farm the artifacts in classic low level dungeons.

Took one 水上行走药剂 and started at the far beach (horde and alliance potals) OR

Only took 15 mins to fish 11 "floating shipwreck debris" nodes 密封的箱子. Nodes give 1-2 crates.

LIVE 2 months now. Still getting the same amount of items from the pools just my little secret is out and more folks are fishing.
UPDATE March: only 2 pools Saturday/Sunday starting days (2 trips), 16 pools (1 Trip) Monday 11-11:12am. Like other wow gathering off hours are the best.

My dear, sweet, adorable cash machine, Lhara will no longer be selling BC and LK herbs. So, no more Auction House fun for my alts. She will, however, be selling lots of companion pets and so on with your tickets. The Darkmoon cub is To Squee.

None of the item turn-ins will exist anymore. So, no more collecting furry paws and copper modulators. However, the quests for your professions are pretty darned sweet. You can go up 5 levels in your profession with the quests.

I love what they did with it, overall. It looks like a major effort on their part and a great way to level alts so they don't get killed running to neutral auction houses.

Beware, though, if you are doing alternate gameplay and are trying to level a pacifist character. I manged to get a kill on a mechanical and need to go back and figure out what it was.

You have to dismount before you can play the games. If you are mounted, the carnies won't take your tokens and you can't play.

I must say this is a wonderful improvement over the old Darkmoon Faire. Had a lot of fun doing the quests there today and will be doing them again tomorrow. Thank you Blizz for fun new dailies and quests.

There are Teleporters in each of the caps to help you get to the portal that will get you to the Faire's new island. The tele fee varies depending on the level of the chara. Teleporter will have a quest for you only if you haven't done the intro quest previously, which can make it hard to track.

Various dailies to earn Prize Tokens, which you can use to buy just about anything. If you have a proff over 75/80 level, you can do the proff quests for those to get some free proff levels (+5), prize tokens (+3), game tokens (+1), exp, money, Achievement credit and rep. BoAs (same as jp), mounts (2), pets (6), vanity items (offhands, cloaks, summonables), and even bags can be purchased with Prize Tokens.

Game Tokens are used to play the various games, which get you money, rep, exp, Achievement credit and Prize Tokens. The games in question vary, but are relatively simple if you ask the NPC hosting them to explain.

You can still turn in your decks, as well as purchase statless teir revivals (0-5), get your fotune told, listen to the band, and even PvP Deathmatch other players. Unlike before, you will find your Prize Tokens in the currency tab, to reassure you that they're staying for good. Most things for purchase that are white vanity items are cheap (1-10 PT), but things like pets are 90, mounts are 180, and so forth.

Don't forget to look around on the island, there is lots to do, and some of it's more out of the way than others. Example? Sea Pony pet, fishable, and adorable. Or Ms. Greenteeth, a rather morbid Forsaken (N) more than happy to sell you some rather disturbing food or offhand items.

Keep a look out for the one week a month you've got access to this lovely place and enjoy!

When i first arrived at the darkmoon fairy island i was intrigued by the messages the red arrow signs had on them, desperately trying to keep you on the road and out of the wood, so i did some exploring and this is what i found:
1)There is a tree with several cages and skeletons located on the most north part of the green area on the map before it rises and becomes the dark forest again
2)A cave underwater on the small island on the map directly to the right of the portal to the darkmoon island
3)A glittering strange green smoke very close to the ruins of a small house, located on the very south part of the dark wood
4)There is a lone undead next to a wagon, her name is 罗纳·绿齿

Weird lights, a witch and some dead bodies in cages .... nothing dangerous yet, but i will keep looking.

note: I will add exact map location as soon as the map appears in wowhead mapping tool

The two tents that are 'Under Construction' please let those be dungeon instances. Carnival themed dungeons would be epic. Especially if they did it in the theme of Darkmoon/Kara.. meant to be fun.

Be a good chance to drop some more transmog gear, new heirlooms (those rings we were promised would be in Darkmoon?) and maybe some of the pets/mounts? If nothing else more rep/tickets..

I wandered around for a bit and couldn't find the portals to get home. In case you can't find them they are in a tent in the middle of the pier just past the stage where Level90ETC plays. In hindsight, it's pretty obvious.

The 月神之光 DOES NOT work for looting the chest in the Darkmoon Faire's arena. You CAN NOT loot the chest while under the effects, and you get a similar message to "You cannot loot that right now". It was worth a shot though. I sacrificed mine so that you could keep yours for whatever epic moment it aids you. ;) Confirmed as of 12/10/2011.

So apparently, once the Darkmoon Faire is over you can still stay on the island until:
1) You log out. The second you log back in, it'll try to load the island, but then send you back to the usual portal entrance point.
2) You die in the arena or on the island. This will basically trap you in a "released spirit" state and you cannot go back on the island and even if someone tries to resurrect you, the second you're resurrected, you'll be ported out of the island.
3) The chest in the arena no longer spawns.
~~4) You can do the daily quests once they reset even when the event is no longer going.~~ - Have been fixed so quests no longer show up.

^I checked out all of these things last night and I really wanted to point no. 3 out so people won't be disappointed after waiting for +3 hours or so and then see nothing.

So does anyone know for certain if you can do the quests from items like the ornate weapon more than once. When I click on them it says I have already completed the quest. So was wondering if it resets every month or not.

FYI - The dailies do not appear to give experience. It looks like the profession based quests that reset each faire do give experience. The games like Whack a Gnoll and so on do not. If it gives your 85 some gold, odds are that it'd give your lower levels some exp.

All of the quests give reputation with DMF and one's guild.

Like the Argent Tournament, you can use the currency generated in order to buy heirlooms. This is massively great for lower level casual players, who can get blue-quality stuff and not have to worry about loot tables and so on until level 80.

Earning gold has never been easier: Enter Darkmoon Faire Fishing.
With fishing from level one you can roam the shores and islands of the DMFaire fishing the Shipwreck floating debris. Don't open the crates while fishing so you can carry as many as possible. The drops are all Cata: Flasks, Elixirs, Ore , Potions Heavy Savage Leather, Ember Silk Cloth and Darkmoon Firewater along with foods and drinks of the Darkmoon flavor will be found in each crate. Along with, from what I have found on every toon I go there with, the sea creature pet that hovers in a floating round ball is a very common drop as well.
These Crates you fish up will earn you Tons of gold, it is bar none, in my opinion, the easiest way to earn gold for any level toon. For PvP servers you are safe in the faire grounds, stray about 20yards or so away and you are marked for battle making it a killing zone and some fun world PvP.
You can fish the shores and small islands around the entire main Island but the shoreline for riding does not continue all the way. This is where DK's and Shammies shine or having Elixir of Water walking is essential.
There was a wonderful glitch where you could be mounted and while traveling jump land jump land repeat. While in the air you travel at 100% ground speed making traveling thru water while mounted very quick and it worked anywhere in WoWville, Blizzy "fixed" that and it no longer works.
There is a fishing trainer and complementing vendor on the docks at the DMF so no need to make a special stop to get the Fishing Profession or Pole.
On a level 6 warrior I made 1k gold my first trip out there. This is on a Low pop PvP server where many things are higher priced, your mileage may vary. You can imagine the increased amount if you are mounted. The floating debris respawns quickly, you won't be disappointed.

FREE ARTIFACTS

Today i've learned something. If you have the quest; Test your strenght on you (Grizzly trophy's) and the darkmoon fair is gone, you can still loot all artifacts in dungeons. Since im the only one with the quest i always win the artifacts. Got 5 of them already after the event ended, while leveling my shaman.

I don't know if this should be submitted as a bug, but enjoy the information and use it wisely.

I haven't seen any posts about this yet, so for those of you trying to maximize your tickets per week, you can (sometimes) technically get in 8 days worth of dailies in the week the faire is around.

The fair starts at 12:01 AM on Sunday morning, and some servers don't reset for another few hours (mine resets at 3). This means you have 3 (or however many on your own server) hours in which you can still complete "Saturday's" dailies at the faire. When your server resets your dailies, you can go back and do them again.

Extra Buffs from the Darkmoon Faire

A little known fact about the Tauren Chieftains concert that performs every hour at the Darkmoon Faire is that if you emote a cheer to any of the band members (/cheer), your character will do a wavy cheer AND you also get a +10 all stats buff.

Talk to the Fortune Teller near the zoo area and depending on what combination of answers you choose, you get a special buff.

Seems to me your professions must be 100+ in order to do the Profession quests in Darkmoon Faire.

My JCing is 60, no quest and my BSing is 102 and was able to do it.

I tried the enchanting quest and found that the weapons I collected could not be disenchanted; therefore I could not complete the quest to get +5 Enchanting. My enchanting is now at 520. The jewelcrafting quest worked sust fine to top off my jewelcrafting at 525.

As a fun fact- during the Tauren and the Chieftains concert- cheer at their lead singer! It gives you the buff "Pumped Up!" which grants 10%+ to all stats for 5 minutes. It's not much, but hey, it might helping battle the Alliance (or Horde) while you're farming for the Sea Pony/Sea Turtle mount.

If you are not level 85, and plan on doing this event often, I would advise you load up on the Darkmoon Game Tokens. This is because the higher level you are, the more expensive they are. So you can save a few gold if you buy them at a lower level.

While not nearly as lucrative some of the fishing advice posted here, if you are starting a new toon when the Darkmoon Faire is in town, it can serve as a very quick and easy way to earn some good starting cash. 吉瓦斯·格里加特 sells 暗月储物箱 for 1 Darkmoon Prize Ticket. This is a great starting bag, but it can also be sold back to Gelvas immediately for 2 gold 50 silver. Using the five free Darkmoon Prize Tickets you get from the breadcrumb quest 暗月马戏团 or 暗月马戏团, you can outfit your new toon with a 16-slot bag and 10 gold right off the bat. (Which, from experience, can come in handy when you are on a new server with no high-level characters to provide you with good starting equipment.)

If you want to get tickets on an alt really fast, you can abuse the professions a little bit. Train 2 professions, boost them to 75 quickly, then abandon them and pick up 2 other ones. Repeat till you run out of professions for the month.

Got me pets on alts nice and quick that way so that when Mists of Pandaria combines pets on all characters I will be done with DMF ones.

Ok wow sherpas and gurus-riddle me this:I have three times now(w/different characters on different servers (each having diff. class/race/prof/lvl) found a lone vendor at the wharf end of the fair adjacent to the stage who sells only (neck) pendants,each one slightly more expensive then the last,and each with ,a slightly more suspicious sounding "effect" said to be given to the wearer. One claims to allow the wearer to effortlessly bound across sizeable gaps, another claiming to make unusually rare items appear in rather mundane areas.the first necklace is 10 gold i believe and i think the last two are 100 gold.I cannot find reference to him in any literature or on any site,but I have repeatedly come across his wares in auctions so I am not the only one high enough to see him.Any info on him or,more pertinently, if his wares actually live up to the hype?-

I have collected a Banks worth of Darkmoon Quest items from Dungeons and Battlegrounds, are the quests for those items spammable (unlikely) or are they daily? Or are they only once per darkmoon, where if they are, then what a waste of space for items, but not for my wallet.

Have reached "Exalted" with the Darkmoon Faire - does that have any significance? For instance, when one is Exalted in Org they can purchase a mount tho their toon was not created in Org, there are also special tabs etc. I've looked through the "Faire Guide" and have yet to find any indication that reaching Exalted here means anything more than I've spent a lot of time.

I decided to post this because I was tired of running across the Faire only to find I forgot my simple flour for my crunchy frogs. Here is list of what you need to bring before you ever walk into the portal, and what you will find inside.

You need to have your professions to at least 75 in Classic professions before the quests will appear. They will not show up if you have 75 in any other (Draenor, Legion, BfA, etc). Thank you to Moospluaze in the comments for the reminder.

These quests will now max your professions in whatever expansion is current, at the moment, BfA, and then Shadowlands, shortly. This means they will not simply climb up 5 points in wherever you were before, i.e. 455 to 460. However, when you max out a profession in the current expansion, it will go back down to a previous expansion where you are not maxed out. For instance, if you are 175 in BfA cooking, but only 50 in Legion cooking, it will give you 5 points in Legion cooking, bringing you to 55, to give an example.

Profession quests:

Alchemy: 塞兰妮亚 (Night Elf who sells drinks) 调制饮料
You need 5 泡沫饮料, sold by her, and 5 月莓汁, sold by innkeepers and other vendors outside the Faire.

Archaeology: 萨杜斯·帕雷教授 (Human in a booth next to the sandbox with children in it) 给小家伙们乐一乐
Bring 15 fossil fragments. You won't carry these in your bags, it's a type of currency from archaeology.

Blacksmithing: 亚布·尼比盖尔 (Gnome near the zoo, next to a horse) 贝贝需要两双鞋
You don't need to leave the Faire for this one. Go find a forge, make the horseshoes out of the metal he gives you, and then go back to the horse and shoe her.
Edit: It was pointed out folks might want to know where a forge is, and there is a super handy one over by 巴伦姆, the Replica Armor vendor.

Cooking: 斯塔姆·雷角 (Tauren food vendor, in a booth behind the tonk dailies) 让青蛙肉更松脆
Bring 5 面粉, sold outside the Faire.

Enchanting: 塞格 (Gnoll hidden down a walkway of torches towards the southern side of the Faire) 变废为宝
You don't need to leave the Faire for this one. Find the 废弃的武器 laying around, disenchant them to make 占卜者之尘 and hand them in.

Engineering: 瑞林 (Troll in the shooting booth) 修一下又是一辆好坦克
You don't need to leave the Faire for this one. Repair the damaged steam tonks all over the Faire.

First Aid: (This profession no longer exists in game, so don't feel like you're missing something when you can't find the quest. I will keep it here for completion's sake.) 克洛诺斯 (Undead hidden behind the cooking quest, surrounded by hurt carnies and benches) DEPRECATED: Putting the Carnies Back Together Again
Use the bandages he provides on 4 injured carnies around the Faire.

Fishing: 斯塔姆·雷角 (Tauren food vendor, in a booth behind the tonk dailies) 咸湿老水手的最爱
Fish up 5 大海鲱 he requires at the waterside at the Faire.

Herbalism: 克洛诺斯 (Undead hidden behind the cooking quest, surrounded by hurt carnies and benches) 救命草
Pick 6 暗色花 from around the Faire.

Inscription: 塞格 (Gnoll hidden down a walkway of torches towards the southern side of the Faire) 书写未来
Bring 5 轻羊皮纸, which are sold outside the Faire to make her items.

Jewelcrafting: 克洛诺斯 (Undead hidden behind the cooking quest, surrounded by hurt carnies and benches) 光彩夺目的马戏团
Pick up the bits of glass around the Faire to make 5 闪亮的“宝石”.

Leatherworking: 瑞林 (Troll in the shooting booth) 关注奖品
Bring 5 粗线, 10 闪光的小珠, and 5 蓝色染料 from outside the Faire, to make his items.

Mining: 瑞林 (Troll in the shooting booth) 蒸汽坦克，重装上阵
Bring him 6 pieces of 坦克碎片 lying around the Faire.

I Figured I would Warn everyone that CRZ has effect on the Dark Moon Fair. Though your Calendar might say the fair ends on saturday at 11:59 pm ST. If the area in which the actual Fair portal is located is phased to an earlier time you will not be able to access the fair. The fair is based on the current CRZ time.

K, I just did the 5 dailies 7x5x11 times! Here is a guide.
NOTE make sure to get the quest before playing the game. You can play and not get a darkmoon prize. Also make sure to pick up the quest when done (esp the cannonball). Don't waste your time finishing the game if you have already won. Use the vehicle return arrow to get out of the game.
Ring toss. the easiest and should be able to win on one token. Just put the circle under the turtle and toss away. You can toss quickly before the turtle moves. As soon as you win, finish the quest.
Tonks. Interesting game. I have never finished in one token (28 once) so expect 2-3 tries. YOu HOLD the one key down and RELEASE to fire. You don't really have to aim, just be near the target. If the tonk shoots weird, just try again. With a lot of targets nearby, just keep shooting. Marked means that you have been in front of one of the green tanks or the blimp. Move away or you will be blown up. Either Speed boost or just move away from the tank. BTW, Other players tonks (purple) CANNOT be shot by you so don't bother!. Hold one key down, keep moving to avoid getting marked, and shoot targets.
Target Shoot. this one irks me. Usually I can win this one on one token easily but it ALL depends one your position next to the booth when shooting. If you can get so you are slightly in the air next to the booth in the middle of the booth, that is the best. Stay in middle of booth and DON'T move your toon, just use the right mouse button held down to point. SPAM the hell out of the one key when shooting, 3 shots on one lighted target is the NORM when all is going well, even without quick shot showing. Aim at the middle target while waiting and slight movement to the side targets. 90% of time, one token to win.
Cannon. Ugh, one button to push and I am bad at it. Usually 2 tries to win, but I have done 6 tries. Make sure to use the fishing wizard on the shore to teleport back to the cannon. Don't forget to pick up the prize when you finish. zoom back when flying and angle your view so you can easily see the target.
Whack-a-mole: The most fun game for me. One token is usual. zoom out, overhead view. Three things. you can go through the barrels. You can keep running as you will automatically stop when swinging. A GOOD tarket has the steam still showing. Its the steam that sets the next target up for you. Keep an eye out for the next steamed targets and its a easy win. Don't double swing at a missed target and going from one edge of the field to another for a target can slow you down.

One new observation. I don't have MoP, and am maxed out in most of my professions. Going to the Faire, I find that I cannot obtain any quest in any of my maxed out fields. There is simply nothing to get. I suspect it's because the Faire Quests give experience and since I can't get any more, they ignore me. Even went in with all the outside goods in bags ready for action. Did not do any dailies beforehand either. Just sayin.....

Here's a neat trick to get an extra "day" of dailies done.

The next darkmoon faire starts on march 3rd 12:01am (00:01) and runs to march 9th 11:59pm (23:59) measured in server time.

However the server doesn't begin the new day as far as dailies goes until either 3:00am (03:00) or 4:00am (04:00) depending on daylight saving or not, and you can take advantage of that.

If on march 2nd you stay up past midnight, the darkmoon faire will activate 1 minute past midnight on march 3rd 12:01am (00:01). You go to darkmoon island and do the daily quests, then log of and go to bed. At 3 or 4 that night the server reset the daily counter and when you wake up in the morning of march 3rd you'll be able to do the daily quests again, earning an extra day of dailies.

You can only get that extra day at the start of the event, by taking advantage of that 3-4 hour difference between midnight and when the server resets the dailies.

Works like a charm on any wow event.

I am not sure if this is a bug related to 5.2 or an undocumented change - but while the in game calendar shows the fair ending on 3/9/12 at 11:59pm I found the darkmoon mage that will port you to the staging area for the fair. When I allowed her to port me, I found the entry portal and I am now riding the carousel and posting this. When will the fair despawn..lol

After the dailies reset the portal mage vanished and i assume the fair did too :)

Display issue: the calendar got shifted around a bit in 5.2, the Faire starts on April 7, 2013 instead of April 1st as marked. This will be reflected on our World Events pages shortly.

Apparantly you can get to Darkmoon Island when it's completely empty of npc's, if you park your alt there and login to him at the day before it starts (probably as long as the Darkmoon Carnies constuction team are there with the sign "darkmoon fairy - coming soon").

If you try and loging him at any other day in middle of the month, then you will find yourself outside the Island.

It's probably a bug. I've took some nice screenshots of the empty place with two of my alts, and snoofed around a bit. here few things I checked:

there were tamable battle pets and I even catched a blue (rare) one. so if you want to catch a Crow pet, this is the time :P
didn't find the Darkmoon rabbit there, but it doesn't say he can't be there at another time.
I could get free ride on the carrousel, but no experience buff.
the darkmoon deathmatch chest didn't spawn at the relevant time.
no fish nodes, herbs or mining nodes.
I could enter play circles without being forced to teleport outside of it. however circles where empty of npc and objects, anyway. zoo was empty of animals too.
Darkmoon Tide Crawlers and Darkmoon Wolves were there and could be killed and looted.

Update:
This port was made during Mists of Pandaria and it was for getting the Rep without doing any dailies on the island itself. The Warlords of Draenor and Legion trinkets should not reward any rep at all. The Mists of Pandaria trinkets give very good rep but now it might be hard to obtain the materials. You can still trade in Inks so that might help but you will probably not be able to sell any of the trinkets.
For now I recommend doing as many dailies as you can when the faire is up using the carousel buff and maybe crafting the 神秘的塔罗牌 because it uses only 3 cards for a deck. Only do this if you can get the materials cheap on the auction house! It's very little rep but it still is some and with enough materials it is definitely worth it.
If you set up your auction house addon for sniping old herbs you can craft other decks as well. believe it or not the 强力暗月卡片 I created back then are now almost sold out. I didn't put them up all the time and they rarely sell but sometimes they do. But do not expect to make money from this. except maybe if someone wants to use them in timewalking dungeons.

Here's my calculations for reputation farming with the Darkmoon Faire. It is for the Avievement 你疯了吧？！

A lot of the Darkmoon Reputation Guides are outdated. This is MoP 5.3 and a lot has changed.
The Rogues Deck only requires 3 Cards now and you cannot trade in inks like in Cata any more.

I set up my gameplan here - I haven't done this yet... So it's theory.
This is about Card Decks and which will give you the most reputation. Apart from that check out this guide:

You probably want to do dailies, hand in the artifacts and do 6 profession quests each month since they reward proper reputation.

As far as the Decks go:
A lof of sites suggest handing in the 盗贼套牌 because it is "easy to farm". You can farm low level herbs to provide the Inks for those but remember that you will have a low chance on getting 翠绿颜料 out of them and you will be left with a lot of 暗色颜料 .
I don't want any leftovers on this that I can't sell or that took valuable time and gave me nothing.

So I will farm Mists of Pandaria Herbs such as 绿茶叶. I will mill them into 影色颜料 and 雾色颜料.
Remember that 愚人菇 have a higher chance to drop 雾色颜料 so consider this when you plan to buy them on the AH or farm them. I will probably go with 绿茶叶 so I calculated for those.

I will use all the 星耀墨水 to create 暗月迷雾卡片. Remember that this will take you 智慧卷轴 which have a daily cooldown.
All the 梦幻墨水 will be traded in at the Inscription Trainer for other Inks.
I wondered what inks would provide me the most reputation gains for Quests.

So I calculated for 10000 mills of 50000 绿茶叶
This is an insane number but I needed a high number to work with. You can always break it down.

神秘的塔罗牌:
4166 Decks
104 166 Reputation
(25 Reputation each Deck)

强力暗月卡片:
4166 源生生命
520 Decks
182 291 Reputation
(350 Reputation each Deck)

After looking at this data it should be obvious what to do.
Create as many 暗月迷雾卡片 as you can. Use the remaining 梦幻墨水 to trade in with 猎人墨水 and create 神秘的塔罗牌.
You could also create any of the other sets - but as I calculated you will get less experience since you need more ink per card and also more cards per set - and you will almost always require another ingredient which will come in pricy or which you will have to farm a lot.
You will get a small reputation bonus out of making 暗月卡片 but you will need 8 cards for the deck instead of three. This leaves you with more chances to create duplicate cards that you will not be able to use at all! The 神秘的塔罗牌 requires 3 cards for each deck, gives very decent reputation compared to all other decks and will probably not leave you with as many duplicate cards that turn out useless.
Just to compare the reputation on the best two decks here:
109375 Reputation with 8 cards a deck (only ink required)
104 166 Reputation with 3 cards a deck (only ink required)

182 291 Reputation with 8 cards a deck but requiring 4166 源生生命 (3 each card) which is probably not an option. Maybe with a transmute Alchi that can transmute primal earth into primal life... but not even then.

So it's February 2014, and I'm looking in the calendar and I notice that July 2014 is the last month of the Darkmoon Fair. The calendar continues with Aug 2014 through Feb 2015... showing All the holidays EXCEPT the fair. Is it going away?

Strange... I've found a subterranean cave entrance at 74,29, 34,53 while I was fishing those boxes around. It is close to fatigue zone, and the most weird, you can swim around there and BREATHE under the water. Didn't find anything in it at the moment I came in, but dunno if its for some kind of new blizz rare spawn or I'm mistaken.

The amusements of a maxed-skill L90 hunter....

I was still in a Bat Costume from Hallow's End. I 'flew' (walked) from Fort Livingston in Stranglevale to the Faire point at Goldshire. I stayed in costume through Whacking Gnolls, Shooting to the Sea (complete with little golden wings on the bat...), Fishing, Ringing the Turtle (where I got the first three, I've never done that before), collecting the profession quests, frying frogs, picking up gems... the tonk reversion finally took me out of bat form, so I didn't get to try the rifle range. I was leaving the firecracker flight till last, I had problems with it on the other toon I've taken through this time.

There's no option to upload a screenshot here, or I'd have one of the bat with wings.

Regarding the Real Race and the achievements. It is similiar to LFR, in that it is gated and more will be available in the future. Most presumably every Darkmoon Faire. Currently the Racing Strider is active, and its associated achievements.

Darkmoon faire is supposed to end at Sunday 1:00 A.M. server. Every March the Darkmoon Faire termination never happened because the calender completely misses 1 A.M.

I have been exploring all WoD dungeons, both heroic and normal, atleast 30 times each dungeon by now. Sadly I haven't seen a single Darkmoon artifact! Which is very dissapointing. They've already messed the time lore AGAIN so why not put some Darkmoon stuff there?

If you have many characters that haven't completed the 希拉斯的秘密宝箱 quest yet, then you can buy the pets using the 100 暗月奖券 that you obtain upon quest completion. I've crunched some numbers here; I've calculated how many Darkmoon Faire visits it will take you to net enough tickets to purchase every reward. ~~I've done this using a varying amount of characters that a player may (or may not) have available to them for play.~~

The Calculations: (~~These calculations assume that the player skips the pet battles to save time each day, but visits the island every day.~~)
1 Character: (a fresh Darkmoon Faire attendee)

100 暗月奖券 - from the one-time quest 希拉斯的秘密宝箱
80 暗月奖券 - from monthly quest items like 占卜者符文
17 暗月奖券 - from monthly profession quests like 调制饮料
20 暗月奖券 - from the monthly quests: 实力检测 and 巢母之死
56 暗月奖券 - from the daily games on the island (over the duration of the event)
10 暗月奖券 - from the 高级暗月宠物补给, a reward from 全新的暗月挑战者！
5 暗月奖券 - from the 暗月宠物补给, a reward from 暗月宠物对战！

Now, the question we want to answer is, "how many months (or "Darkmoon Faire visits") will it take to net all of the listed rewards?" Let's do some math!

Our very first visit to the island on a brand new character (one that has never been to the island before) can net 240 暗月奖券. Every subsequent daily visit for the remainder of our first Darkmoon Faire visitations will be 8 暗月奖券 per day, which would net 48 over the span of the remainder of the event.

First Darkmoon Faire: 240 + 48 = 288 暗月奖券.

The only non-repeatable ticket source between Darkmoon Faire visits is the 希拉斯的秘密宝箱 quest. Thus, we simply dock 100 tickets from the first month. Meaning every subsequent event occurrence would net 188 暗月奖券. This makes our equation as follows:

numOfMonths = (2730 - 288) / 188 = ~12.98

It would take a player 13 Faire visits to accrue every above reward on a single character (assuming no pets or toy drop from their 暗月游戏奖品s). The math also assumes that the player hasn't completed the 希拉斯的秘密宝箱 quest.

Next Question: How much shorter is my farm if I add a second character to the grind? (Note: This question is no longer relevant since the prize boxes can't be funneled to a single character.)

Now that the BFA pre-patch has dropped, before you go to the Faire, go to your main city and turn on warmode, that way you get 10% more XP for any quests you do. I just tried this and it works. Just remember to go back to your main city when done so that you can turn it off if you're not interested in PvP. Of course, this means that if you have any quests that are turned in at SW or OG, turn on warmode before turning in the quest for the extra XP.

Can anyone confirm if DMF profession based quests are properly giving skill points?

I've got a character that was 789 in mining prior to the 8.0 patch. That skill level converted to 89/100 in Legion Mining, and max levels in everything else. Just did the DMF quest for mining. Got no points in my Legion Mining.

My running theory on the matter is that the quests were not properly updated with the patch. I'm willing to bet it's looking at Classic Mining and granting skill levels towards that. Of course, without a lower level character to test it, I have no clue as to what is happening here.

I know the profession quests have changed, and supposedly only offer skill-ups on Vanilla level profs, but they are behaving oddly.

My longest played character, who is maxed out on all her profs except BfA levels, was able to pick up all her usual prof quests, and hand them in at least for the ticket rewards.

My boosted 120 character, who isn't maxed out on Vanilla profs, could only SEE cooking and fishing - skinning and leatherworking didn't even appear for her.

I'd love some clarification on how it's now supposed to work. I hope they don't get rid of the prof quests even if you are maxed out on everything - they were a nice source of tickets!

Darkmoon Faire Profession Quests Macro
If you have a lot of alts like I do (and you're as old as I am - almost 70), you can't remember which alts have or haven't done the profession quests. Not that they are once again awarding 5 skill points there's a good reason to go to the Faire. I've been looking for some kind of simple macro or addon for this and finding none I decided to give it a go. So here's a simple macro to run on your toons which will tell you which profession quests you have completed. Since not everyone will have the "Macro Toolkit" or something similar that allows extended macros, I decided to try and get the code below 255 characters, which isn't much. Fortunately, the quests are numbered sequentially 29506 (Alchemy) to 29520 (Tailoring) making easy use of a table of short names and a do loop. The First Aid quest has been removed (29512) but was left in for simplicity. There is no message if no quests have been done - there are less than 30 characters to spare. It's probably possible. Here's the code...

I'd be expecting Darkmoon Faire to be up again this coming Sunday, 9/1/2019, about five days from now. However, it is neither listed on the in-game calendar nor here on Wowhead as being up in September 2019 (as of the time of this posting). Is this world event now cancelled?

When does the entrance to Darkmoon actually appear? It's 12:01 and there are only NPCs driving tent spikes into the ground.

First time this has happened - Faire opened almost 3 hours ago, decided to come get carousel buff before I turn in weeklies. None of the profession quests are up, nor is Test Your Strength. I can do all the individual quest item quests, though - Monstrous Egg, A Treatise on Strategy, etc. Hoping quests will be available after morning reset? Anyone else having this issue?

Have they removed the profession quests from the faire, or something?
I just went to the faire, and there were no quests for professions there. Did Blizzard, in their endless quest to ruin the game for players, decide to remove these quests with Shadowlands, for some reason, or is this a bug I need to report?

PS. Adding one thing here. This appears to be a bug that is well known now. Also, it seems to only be happening to my Alliance characters, but the Horde characters are all getting the profession quests correctly, so it must be a bug of some kind, and not an intended change.

DMF begins as I understood on the first Sunday of each month. This being January still, I'm wondering if tomorrow Feb 1st the profession quests be available.

Just looking at this and I don't really understand what the hell is going on.
Since ALWAYS darkmoon fair was there for the first entire week in every month, starting the first entire weekend of the month and ending next saturday a minute before midnight. Now it seems this has started january 31st, after last one january 3rd-9th. Why? What has changed and/or what's the point?

Note that I used to get a nice bump in XP points after doing a profession quest in the Darkmoon Faire if I was not at max level. After Shadowlands expansion, the XP is down in hundreds rather than the usual tens of thousands.

The Faire seems to have come a week early this time around.

This happened before in January last year (I think).

None of the profession quests are available just yet, because it is still October.

Maybe tomorrow, when November is here, the profession quests will reset.

Why has it come a week early again? Weird.

Judging by the lack of Darkmoon Faire Workers that 'set up' the portals in Goldshire / Thunder Bluff, I am guessing there is no Darkmoon Faire for January of 2022.

Due to the current covid lockdown and DF workers' refusal to comply with the vaccine mandate, the Darkmoon Faire is suspended until further notice per the CDC.

For those like me that were confused when the faire didn't start at 12:01, its in PST, so if your EST like I am it starts at 3:01 A.M. EST and ends at 2:59 A.M. EST. For whatever reason they didn't at least make it match what time your time zone is in terms of its actual start time, which makes it very confusing initally.

Is it just me, or is the DMF now beginning and ending 2 hours later than it always has in the past?

The start time now shows as 2:01 AM on Sunday (previously 12:01 AM on Sunday), with an end time of 1:59 AM on the following Sunday (previously 11:59 PM on the following Saturday). This is reflected in both the in-game calendar and in the Quick Facts section at the top of this Wowhead page. I can't seem to find a Bluepost on this undocumented change.
