Bronte Creek is one of the two provincial parks in the GTA. There is an entrance fee, so I would suggest getting the Ontario Parks pass from your local library to enter and to park for free. This is a nice park with lots of hiking trails and lush woods, offering plenty of shades on a sunny day. The only trail that allows you to go down to the creek is #6 Half Moon Valley Trail. I would also recommend #4 Lookout Ravine Trail which is almost completely covered by trees and would be beautiful in the fall.

You shouldn't miss the famous White Oak Tree, likely germinated since 1685 and at least 300 years old, close to parking lot A. The Spruce Lane Farmhouse is another highlight near parking lot F, which is a Victorian-style house showing visitors what life was like back then. The antique furniture, well-decorated rooms, farm equipment, and friendly volunteers wearing Victorian costumes gave us an immersive experience at the farm.

The only problem is that the amenities are a bit dated, especially with the signage. The park staffs should hand out free maps as you enter the park, and there should be more directions as to where you are. I often had to rely on Google to check location and the pre-downloaded map from their website. The swimming pool remains under renovation as of summer 2024, so the park is not yet at its full potential.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park isn't just beautiful, and educational, with its farm houses and historic education as well as live animals. And it isn't just a great place to hike trails and have family picnics and get together's. But it also has a very special area called Half Moon Valley trail which is dedicated to people who would like to spread the ashes of their loved ones. It was easy to choose this location as the resting place for my mother and grandmother who passed within 6 weeks of each other. Their ashes were mixed with predeceased family members ashes so they could be together. We were able to spread them out and have a small, intimate family gathering at the park. It is a place that our entire family have loved and enjoyed. The particular spot that we chose is bathed in sunlight through a good part of the day. My grandmother was nicknamed Billy-Goat because of her love of hiking and her power and strength in our climbing everyone on her beloved outings. My mother was an outdoorsy person who loved hiking, mountain biking, camping, and was deeply connected to the land through her lifelong gardening and love of plants. I am so grateful that those we lost are together in that beautiful place.

My first time visiting this provincial park. I was very fortunate to receive a free annual pass access so did not forego the admission cost which is about $12 to $21 per day.

The trails are clean, managed and you can see the arborist do a good job maintaining the overall trail. It's a really nice scenic escape from city life; I can see ski and bike trails.

There is even a mini farm.

There are some really nice vantage points where you can see the water and treeline, so it might be nice to return in the fall.

      Definitely returning here :)

      Walking through trees :)
      Furry friends.

It's a very good park for both day use or spending a few nights and soak in some fresh air. You can do many fun stuff, like camping using private and semi-private spots; hiking, biking or mountain biking using hiking trails with different length and level of difficulty; You can also use the flat unleash area for your dog to have fun all they want. They also have washrooms and showers beside the campsite. Nice spot for all family members from different generations to picnic, be active and have fun.

It was a nice day (sunny and 24C) so Gord and I headed to Bronte Creek Park in Burlington (about a half hour drive west of Toronto). It's been a while since we've been there.

We did three trails ... Trillium, Half Moon Valley Trail and Lookout Ravine Trail. And we spent some time at the ravine. There weren't many people out.

It was a nice way to spend a few hours.

This park charges for $18 per vehicle for daily use, not what was stated on their website. It was relatively expensive for a provincial park which did not have much better view than a city park.

The offered some accessible and stroller friendly trails though. They also had a turkey farm, but it was closed when we visited.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park was great overall! the entrance fee when pulling up to the park was $18.00; Daily Vehicle Permit "A little steep IMO".

There were a lot of walking/hiking trails, A snow hill for tobogganing, a pathway full of bird houses for bird watching, picnic areas, and a model airplane field just to name a few things.

The most noticeable thing you realize about Bronte Creek Provincial Park when pulling up to the park entrance is that you pay based on the vehicle for day-use, regardless of number of occupants in the vehicle. Our fee was $17.00; Daily Vehicle Permit.

There are many walking/hiking trails, a 1.8 acre outdoor swimming pool (extra fee unless you're 3 and under), a children's farm and play barn, lots of picnic areas, and a model airplane field just to name a few things.

What a big difference it is temperature wise relaxing under huge trees within this beautiful park compared to standing out in the open.

We're here for a multi-family outing of food, refreshments and relaxation!

I've only been to the Bronte Provincial Park pool. Parking is very expensive for the day. If you have a season pass it's cheaper. Also if you ride a bike you can get through the parking area. My main reason to go there was for the huge pool for my kids. I have to admit the pool is gigantic. It's right near where I live so it's very convenient. Pool admission is very inexpensive. You can bring a BBQ and have a picnic in the eating area. The pool is clean with lifeguards. It's a nice place to take your kids for the summer. Consider a season pass if you're planning to go to the farm and also in the fall there's a maple syrup festival.

      Huge pool!
