Gotta Love MM's. What can you say about this concept and location but it was a smart idea.
MM"s has everything from ice cream to cheese to one man meals for those on the go. You can pretty much create a whole turkey dinner from this place. As long as you do not mind stuff turkey roll which was delicious. Frozen veggies to go along with that and hey do not forget about dessert.
If and when you go to MM and you are looking for a dessert for either a family function or work function get the Macaroon Madness bars OMG they are to die for trust me sometimes you can get them on sale for 10.99 or 9.99. But they are the best. I have tired others and the tuxedo cake, carrot cake, strawberry short cake, not fussy on that one and I always go back to those bars.
Now if you are looking for a burger let me tell you get a box of 12 for $12.99 of the Sirloin beef burgers which is a mix of steak and hamburger they are delicious we BBQ them for work functions and they are amazing. As well they are always on sale as they are the most popular burger at MM.
Make sure you sign up with MM as there are always good special and prizes,Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ben B.Vancouver, BC9468011960Mar 23, 2012
I'll be honest, I come here for slabs of frozen desserts that I can stick in the freezer and chop up at will. Cheesecakes, tiger brownies (the best), regular brownies, they're all welcome in my home and in my face.
Are they spectacular gourmet treats? No. But they are sold in bulk and sometimes that's so much more important.
I do have to give some shout-outs to their staff too who are consistently helpful, friendly, and often just downright fun to be around. They've turned a pretty clinical business experience into something enjoyable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Asheley R.Halifax, NS597733Apr 5, 2012
I'm a huge advocate for M&M's. Yes it isn't fresh. Is it convienent? Tasty? No question.
They have everything from sauces to cheeseballs to chicken wrapped in bacon to mini pizza pockets. I primarily pop in here to grab stuff to fondue (what up Oriental party pack) but they really do have a superb array of frozen foods. Not to mention delish and healthy turkey sausages! I've heard a couple of my friends can't seem to stay away from their french onion soup. Some of their frozen chocolate desserts are deeeeevinnnnne.
So really, if you're pinched for time or are just looking to stock up the fridge for emergency hunger killers, this is the place to do it. As far as the location is concerned in itself, my opinion is probably biased. I'm generally comparable to a baby deer when gallavanting in Dartmouth. It confuses me. As does the little strip mall that M&M's is in. I can never figure out which way is the right way to navigate the parking lot. Chalk that up to a shitty location or my shitty navigating skills!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jennifer B.Dartmouth, NS321738Jan 3, 2012
I came to this place for help in planning a party, but I'm excited to go back for help planning my weekly meals.
It's not what you might expect from something labelled as a "meat shop." It's not a butcher, with fresh hunks of tenderloin and short ribs, but rather a counter with an obscenely large freezer section and boxes upon boxes of prepared goodness, most involving meat of some kind.
There's a small cooler at the front for some of your basic food stuffs, like cheeses, bacon, and eggs, and a back counter with some of the more popular items and a wide variety of bottled sauces. However, the real gold mine is behind the counter, and since everything comes in the same white and blue box, you really have to know what you're looking for.
Before coming here, you need to prepare yourself. Check out their catalogue and figure out what you want to get. They have everything from large trays of lasagna to mini meat pies and single-serve desserts, everything you need to make dinner quick and easy. Face it, not everyone has time to make a good dinner, and even fewer people are gourmet chefs. This place helps you make meals fast and easy without the greasy brown paper bag.
Don't fret if you haven't come prepared. The staff really knows their stuff, and are very happy to make recommendations based on what you need. They are aware of their stock and know exactly where everything is, so they're very fast when it comes to filling your order.
I was very happy with my party selections, and the amount of food each box contained. The pineapple chicken skewers are probably my favourite, but the swedish meatballs and buffalo chicken bites were also hits. However, what disappeared the quickest were the mini pizza tarts. I also had a selection of fruit tartlets and cream puffs ready to go, but wound up not needing them. That means I now have a freezer full of easy portionable desserts for my next few dinner parties.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
