Spent a few days here while working in the area. Very nice and quiet. Not a huge place, but lots are roomy, which is a major plus. Everyone has enough space so you don't sit on top of each other like some places. Although there is a small playground, I would say this is a great adult campground. Staff is friendly, and the store has a nice selection. Nice hiking trails too.

This is a lovely campground. It's quite rustic with lots of trees and plenty of shade. A lot of the sites are surrounded by trees. It's not for the bougie camper! If you're looking for a resort type park with tons of amenities this isn't it but if you're looking for nature, quiet and privacy...this is a perfect place to visit. It's very quiet especially during the week. The weekends are busier with a lot of the seasonal campers. But even then it's very relaxing. The campers have all been very nice. The staff is phenomenal! I have called numerous times in our two weeks here with questions. They always answer my questions and give as much help as possible. Mandy was AMAZING! She is always so sweet on the phone and never seems to busy to help out. The only negative I can think of is that the roads inside the campground are a little bumpy but it is a campground .

My view first thing in the morning.

We really enjoyed the piece and quiet. It's a great get away. Plus there is a playground to visit and a pavilion for parties.

We are heading home after 3 great days at Otter Creek. This campground has a very layed back feel with so many friendly people. Though there are more seasonal people then short term, we were welcomed by all. Some seasonal guest put on an amazing fireworks show over the 4th holiday too! And there were lots of fun activities all weekend.
The bath houses were very clean and the coin operated showers were very easy to use. The general store had everything you could need and even hand dipped Turkey Hill ice cream, yum! The managers Mandy and Scott are so sweet and really take care of the grounds. Thanks for the great weekend and see you next year.

Beware. This campground has many rutted, narrow roads with potholes to boot. The site we were given (81) was a pull-through, however, extremely unlevel. The majority of the sites looked unlevel. We attempted for 2 hours to level our Class C (32') with no luck. We asked to be moved which was a "no, we've had bigger units than yours on that site before." There were plenty of empty sites. We continued to move the RV all around searching for a more level spot; eventually busted a hydraulic line on our automatic leveling system which was the icing on the cake. We called another campground in Intercourse, PA and luckily got a spot for our 5 nights. We told the couple managing this campground (who were very nice) that we'd be leaving, what happened and we'd appreciate a refund. The woman contacted the owner who did refund our money with the exception of the first night (which was fine). We appreciated that! The woman's husband said to us, "I don't know what you are doing wrong; we've had plenty of bigger RVs in that spot." This was not appreciated as we are NOT newbies at this. We did nothing wrong. I told the woman they should be more accommodating to anyone wishing to move as we know our RVs.
This campground is quite a drive from main sights of Lancaster County, but there are several nice hikes in the area. We did one near here from the other campground we stayed in (which was 100% better). The owner needs to do some maintenance to this campground; it could be made into something great. Just a forewarning to those with anything larger than an R-Pod or tent (which small units would work here), of the unlevel sites and very bumpy, narrow roads.

Caretakers are top notch. Campground is clean, family friendly, and close to nature. The mason dixon trail cuts right through the grounds and offers a challenging and rewarding hike/run. If you are staying in York/Lancaster; don't miss this hidden gem.

This campground is awesome. It may not have a swimming pool, or FULL hook up but it does have everything you want in camping. Pull tru sites. Trails galore. Gorgeous sites. Spacious camp sites. Wooded privacy. River and streams. Friendly staff. Very clean bathrooms. Prices are reasonable. Within driving distance to most everything.

Been here a couple of times and will return. Very nice managers that live on site. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay, this is it. Bring some blocks with you because you need to do a bit of leveling, for it is on a hillside, but no big deal. Water and electric hook ups at every site (30 amp). Not sure about 50 amp. Also there are nice hiking trails along the 2 creeks that fow on either side of the campground with waterfalls. Acoss the road is the Susquehanna River, also known as Lake Aldred.

The campground was great. Mandy and Scott are the new owners and are very accommodating. Extremely friendly and easy to work with. The showers and bathroom was clean and easy to get to. The hiking around the campground and otter creek itself was beautiful. All in all, great place with a spacious tent site in a convenient location for a quick weekend getaway. Just from walking through, all the seasonal guests are extra friendly and the regular sites are spacious and provide all the hookups you would need.
