Met Sephora representative William at Edmonton South Common today.
He usually works at the Southgate mall location.
What a beautiful human.
He was knowledgeable and so very willing to help.
He's also incredibly fun and witty!
You are all very blessed to have such dazzling employee.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 17, 2016
I enjoy going to this Sephora location because they carry new a larger selection of new product than the Kingsway location, still less than online, but enough to keep me coming back. The only problem is that popular items sell out frequently and don't restock fast enough. It's very clean & I like how travel sized minis are displayed all along the line up to the till. There's always a bunch a staff around, you just have to ask for help if you're not approached.
One perk I like about Sephora is that you can be colour matched for foundations & they will swatch the results on your chin to help you decide, and if that's still not enough, you can ask for a sample container so you can try it out a couple of times before committing any cash to full size product.
They also offer free 15min beauty services such as teaching you how to contour or highlight or a smokey eye, etc. They also have membership cards that goes in tiers: beauty insider, VIB, & VIB rouge. It's free to join & the status increases depending on how much you purchase in store per calendar year. With each tier the perks increase like a seasonal coupon or access to limited product, longer makeovers and special events. It's definitely a fun place to shop for skincare & beauty for me.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lorraine A.Edmonton, AB680177897Jan 26, 2016
I have a mix relationship with Ms.Sephora... I step inside and my anxiety rises. The crazy adolescents to the lost souls wondering about... It's absolutely bonkers. The long insane line to the cash register makes me want to turn around and walk out.
But... I just cannot not shop there. They carry everything a girl needs. From Bobbie Brown to Clinique, my mom would be able to find her brand. They are usually up to date with all the latest new make-up fads.
I don't ask for help from the girls because I already know what I'm getting but if I see a girl with fabulous makeup and looks absolutely amazing I will definitely ask her what she's using. Otherwise I'm in and out.
Can't help but be back...Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Krista N.Edmonton, AB261120Jan 9, 2018
Sephora South Gate is undoubtedly the best Sephora in Edmonton. Every time I go in, the staff go above and beyond to make sure I find everything I need. Noah, Abby, Kassidy, and basically everyone are amazing. I've gone to the other locations and they pale in comparison to this one.
Rahel is an exceptional MUA, she did a fantastic job when I went in for a makeover.
I will go out of my way to go to this location when I need to go to Sephora.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Courtney M.Edmonton, AB74031Apr 25, 2017
This is definitely one of my favorite locations! I've always have the best service here, I've read some of the other reviews and a lot of people say that no one would talk to them, I have never experienced that myself, however I'm one of those people where if I have question or need help with something I let it be known! I do find that with this location not many of the ladies working here will approach you to make sure that you're finding everything okay, but they are approachable. If you need something, seriously, just walk right up to someone and be like YO! Okay not really but you get what I mean.
I've had help with skin care, colour matching, product info etc. I have had amazing results and anything I haven't like or didn't work for me was returnable. I'm a Sephora addict and I love it here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Christine I.Leduc, AB16301Apr 13, 2016
Sephora is my definition of heaven as I love all things makeup and beauty related! I get the shakes just thinking about going to the mall to check out the new products in store.
The products are not the only thing I love about Sephora though. The staff at this store are fantastic and incredibly knowledgable. Every time I walk in, no matter how busy the store is, I am always greeted by a friendly staff member who is willing to offer me help if I need it. On the flip side, they will also leave you alone to browse if that is what you want to do as well.
Tip- walk in customers can ask for a mini makeover (eyes, foundation, blush,contour, even false eyelash application).Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Fatemeh B.Edmonton, AB38334Jan 31, 2020
I was here today. A guy kept following me around continuously. He followed me wherever I went until I really started freaking out! He kept passing by me 100 times as if he was doing it on purpose. I felt super uncomfortable and thought he might be their floor watch. I talked to the a person on the floor and told them this guy kept following me in a very obvious manner. She said he is the security and they cannot tell him anything! So I asked to talk to a manager. She kept me waiting for a while and then when she came out the back of the store and I explained the situation, she just said the guy is a security and he is hired by a third party and again they could not tell him anything! She apologized once and she did not even look sorry, just a fake apology. I left the store feeling insulted and will not be back to this Sephora store again!

I love Sephora, I buy from Sephora all of the time. I spend A LOT of money there. Today, I took my mom there to treat her to a (let's face it) overpriced mascara that she enjoyed after testing mine out.
However, our cashier ruined the experience. I don't need a lot of help when I am there, I know what I need, where to get it and what colours work for me, all Sephora has to do is sell the product.
I understand that the store was busy but our cashier did not smile at us, did not great us, did not offer us a bag, did not offer for me to use any of my points, did not tell me the total of my purchase and basically grabbed my gift card out of my hand. When that gift card did not cover the total of my purchase, she just stood there until I offered her more payment, didn't ask me, or inform me. I have searched my receipt for her name to reach out to the store directly, but it isn't on there - Maybe something they should look into.
Needless to say, she did not make a return customer out of my mom, and I will travel to another Sephora or shop online from now.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah S.West Edmonton, Edmonton, AB030Jul 12, 2018
Rude staff. I will continue to visit other locations. The team at this location were not helpful and it was rather upsetting to hear them gossip about customers.

Went in to buy the tarte foundation for $51 and just needed to be matched to a colour. Waited around to see if anyone would come up to me,but no one did then I went to the girl standing by the door for her to get help for me but she said it'd be at least 15 minutes until someone's free to help me. Very disappointed!I am a VIB rouge customer which means I spend at least $1,000 per year in your store. That won't be happening going forward.
