I like the fish tacos here and everytime I've come in, which has been since opening, I've never had a problem, until last night. The problem wasn't the food... it was with the servers.
My husband ordered the La Costa taco (beef) and the garlic shrimp taco. I ordered two fish tacos. No problem with the fish tacos or the shrimp taco... delicious as usual. My husband took one bite of the beef taco and almost choked... it was too spicy. We asked the server for another taco but not spicy... she argued with us and said that it said that the taco was spicy on the menu. (My husband is no wimp with spice, he can handle spice but he almost choked on how spicy the taco was). She basically blamed my husband but said she would get another taco not spicy. Redo taco, fine. Check comes and they charge me for the first spicy one AND the redo... taco is 6.95. Another server came over and again argued with me that the menu said taco is spicy. I told her my husband took one bite, returned it and we shouldn't be charged for both tacos. After blaming my husband, it was his fault and arguing with me for the 6.95, she finally relented and gave me the credit.
Anywhere else, I would never have gotten an argument not from one but from TWO servers! This place is good but never busy so they shouldn't be arguing with return customers over 6.95. It's a shame... the argument was uncalled for and unnecessary and for what? a stupid taco and at the risk of losing customers. Really?!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6 Oct 2024
Really cool Mexican seafood bar off Douglas and the 76. Menu offers a variety of options, including tostadas, tacos, fries, & aguachiles. Make sure you enjoy your side of milk because they add some spice to their dishes. The menu items make sure to label w chilis though.
I found most of the food absolutely delectable. I appreciate how they give you a lot of quality food for the buck. The items are presented really nicely. There's always enough for leftovers as well. I find the prices to be similar to the likes of Rubios, but the food quality to be elevated. Definitely worth giving a try. Have made this place a go to w my sisters.Helpful 7Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 1 - 1 Sept 2024
The service and food are great. The staff is friendly and always ready to get you whatever you need to have a great dining experience. The manager, Coco, introduced herself and went out of her way to get to know us.
We've been here twice and both times were great experiences. We're about to go for the 3rd time tonight and I'll take more pics.
So far, I've had the surf and turf burrito and the garlic shrimp burrito. Both are good but I prefer the surf and turf. The shrimp burrito was too wet for my liking and though tasty, not easy to eat. Hence, the 4 stars. Hubby had various tacos and liked each one. He's a trooper, being adventurous with each dining experience.
The chips and salsa are fabulous.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 5 Jan 2025
Have been twice and the food does not disappoint. We sat on the patio both times and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Service if efficient - they are usually busy so can understand that it is business only. Food is consistently good and tasty.

Whether you dine in or take out. I love this place. Food is fresh and delicious. The shrimp plate was loaded and the tacos are always amazing. Can't eat here without a dorado taco. They're fire.

However, Four Tunas did not disappoint. The service (to-go) was awesome, the food...even better. Honestly, the dorado tacos are absolute fire. I love variety but am going to have a hard time not ordering them every time. Everything was good but they stood out.
The restaurant was clean and chill. I'm sure sit-down service is great! - Hydi D.San Diego, United States04517 Jan 2025
The food was AMAZING. Literally the best tacos I've ever had. Servers name was Sam, she was a delight. Very knowledgeable and has been with this restaurant for four+ years now. The environment is small and calm. Perfect lunch spot.

This update is regarding their online ordering using Yelp/Grubhub for pickup not delivery. Same great food but 20% higher prices - 1 burrito & 1 shrimp taco which to-go or dine-in is ~$22 ordered in restaurant, is ~$26 via Yelp. So if ordering online & not having to wait is worth 20% extra, no worries. Otherwise call-in your order or order at the counter.

We enjoyed Miramar's tacos but not often enough I guess cause we were sad they closed. It's hard not to compare their similar menus but I feel Four Tunas has elevated ingredients & recipes. I tried the Four Tunas fish burrito & it is exceptional. The combination of fried fish (sea bass), grilled fish & smoked fish (like bacon), with French fries & avocado in a flour tortilla makes for a savory fish burrito with crunch. I asked for an extra serving of their fresh salsa (served with their complimentary basket of tortilla chips) to top my burrito. Their red & green sauces are really good but I preferred their fresh salsa to brighten the fish burrito. My wife order two tacos, a shrimp & grilled fish (sea bass again). She said they were fantastic. Plus she helped me finish my fish burrito - the fish burrito is a good size serving. I don't usually give 5 stars on my 1st visit but with their excellent service & food, I think it's well deserved.
