A Town Wings

First it was about 3:30 on a weekday afternoon. I had been to the property on Tharpe but I was on this side of town.

I hadn't been to this one in a long time because they're always so suspect.

Open sign light was on.
Someone walking inside.
Sign says 11-9 pm.

Doors locked and drive through chained.

Closed!

I started telling other drivers who were pulling up they were closed.

Bad business for early afternoon. Don't make a special trip to this location. Beware - open signage means nothing.

Ordered food to go. First time visitor.

Wings and fries were ok. Not bad, but ok.

Got garlic parm wings and BBQ boneless, plus fries. The BBQ was extra saucy, almost too much. The garlic parm was tasty, but wish they weren't sitting in a pool of grease in the container. Both meals came with a drink which was nice.

Someone else picked up the order so I can't address the service or ambiance. Attempts to call the location first were unsuccessful ...

Not sure I'd return. If I I did it would be to a different location for sure.

This used to be a great place to get wings. I haven't been to this location in several months, and it's amazing how much it's gone down since my last visit. Rude customer service, with eye rolling. I ordered honey lemon pepper wings with fries, nothing difficult or different. The wings had an old oil taste, like they need to change their fryer oil. They weren't tasty and they were hard and overcooked with barely any meat on the bone. They come swimming in juice/sauce, which oddly doesn't stick to the wings so the juice was good but wings were flavorless. The fries were good but it's hard to mess that up. Because the sauce is a juice and there's so much of it, by the time I get home the juice is out of the box and into the bag, so that's a mess.

Incredibly friendly service. Wings are just as ordered. Philly cheese steak is the best in town!

This is one of the better wings restaurants in Tallahassee. The location on Tharpe Street is better service-wise but the food quality is about the same. I've been here a few times before and today I had the hot honey mustard wings with fries.

The wings at this place are great. They have good size and all of their sauces and rubs are pretty good. I like how the how they balance the honey mustard with the hot sauce. Neither one is overpowering but they both add something to the dish.

Also, make sure you ask for a sauce on the side for your fries. It makes a difference! You may also want some season salt or lemon pepper on them. I would recommend this restaurant to any wing connoisseur.
