Im 50 yrs old and alot of the times im not as proactive as I could be,when it comes to first time events,I guess maybe it's because I don't know what to expect, or how things or gonna lay out after I leave the hospital. As far as the staff goes ,being young and knowledgeable is one thing but what's horribly lacking is the wisdom to be more proactive and discuss or address what the patient can expect post visits and not just (if pain persists and you feel like things are not getting better schedule a follow up with your physician, please sign here and your good to go). Maybe im expecting to much or is it just the generation.

Absolutely awful front desk staff. They ruined the hospital by making it smaller. Too many lawsuits pending against the hospital. Horrible bed side manners. ER front desk morons are just that. Never again. Guthrie is the way to go.

My husband had COVID and was really sick. He was rushed to Memorial Hospital in Towanda where they let him lay in a room for 16 hours. We finally forced a transfer to Arnot Ogden and everything changed as soon as we got there. They took care of him as if he were each and every one of their own family. His nurses Dalton, Terrie, Monica and his doctors Irwin and Passarelli were so attentive and caring. They made sure he was seen by all the specialist and did everything possible to make sure he was going to walk out as soon as possible. (Even in the middle of the night) I'd recommend Arnot to everyone. Floor 5D is full of angels.

ER patient services or LACK there of! Someone please explain to me how someone can go into Arnot Ogden ER, sent by her Doctor, that can barely sit up and is laying down in one of those extra wide chairs because she can't sit up, has been puking her brains out for almost 3 days, has been there for over 3 hrs and every person that came in ahead of her has gone in and now they are taking people that came in after her and there's still four people ahead of her on their board to be seen first! Someone please explain to me Arnot's patient care system. Does it have something to do with "THE JAB"? When I told them I was taking her out of there the triage nurse got mouthy with me, mad because I said it was ridiculous that people that came in after her were being seen first. She tried to explain to me that some people have different situations and were going in front of her, I get that but when the man she just took back stood up and walked and didn't look like there was hardly anything wrong with him, no blood gushing nothing urgent looking and not like I am saying he didn't have a reason for being there, I would like to know what made him more important than my daughter that has been sitting there dry heaving? Do they treat people this way in hopes that they will leave so that they don't have to see them? I can tell you this, I wish her Doctor was a Guthrie Doctor, she would have never been treated that way. This is an EPIC example of the nothing being addressed or changes made because it is similar to the treatment I suffered last year in your ER.

RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN TRIAGE! BEWARE!!! AFRICAN AMERICAN NURSE PUTS ALL RACES BEFORE ME IN ER. Hope you don't get injured or end up in car accident after the Covid-19 worker shortage--you'll sit 3 hours in waiting room in a WHEELCHAIR (they'll lie and lay they don't have enough beds--you enter the back area and there are free beds!!!) They bold-faced lied to me--I had a serious car accident yesterday, my airbags didn't deploy, t-boned on drivers door--his bumper busted through my door and I took the entire impact to my left side. I was taken from the accident with possible internal injuries by ambulance, lacerations all up my right side and contusions and who knows what else (till all results come back) and I shook uncontrollably in shock and pain in the waiting room--no one else had been in a car wreck, yet they "didn't have enough beds" in the ER even though the ambulance had called ahead and was very angry (and told me so) when they took me in an saw how I was treated. I begged for water--I had none for 7 hours after the accident. I asked for oxygen-nothing (this helps with pain and to get you out of trembling in shock) I was freezing AND in shock from the painful injuries. It wasn't until I could not stop crying out in pain and bawling that the x-ray tech finally got me a bed. I laid there another 2 hours until they'd give me any pain meds. Why is the only person in the ER who was in a car accident the LAST to go in when the ambulance called ahead? We looked around, we watched--cut finger, no signs kind of people all before me. Disgusting. Triage disaster. An African American (triage nurse) woman begrudgingly took me in to her office at the dire request of the ambulance driver--her response--take everyone else first--make the whitest person there last (believe me--I notice who was being taken first!) I want to THANK the two attending physicians who were very kind...Dr. Wolff and Dr. Walton, and the attending nurses. I want to especially thank the nurse in x-ray for her humanitarian heart when I went into shock in the room. She calmed me, spoke kindly, and ordered me a bed (Thank GOD!--the only one who really understood the pain I was in) They also wanted to jab me with a tentanus shot even though I was touched by nothing to need this. When I looked up info on the vaccine it says that The Who (organization) DOES NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ADULTS WHO HAVE HAD THIS SERIES AS CHILDHOOD VACCINES (https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/do-adults-really-need-tetanus-booster-shots-2020051219786)--also, he failed to tell me it was a "new" vaccine (yeah, new technology--think the "new" -19 technology)--and didn't believe in chiropractors (???) OMG! I worry about these young doctors coming up. He also didn't tell me that the vaccine would include Diptherea and pertussis. Why do physicians treat us with disdain and put things in our bodies without asking or informing? Go to ANY other ER if you can--this one--even if in a car accident, you will end up in the waiting room until all others go first (yeah, EVERY one went ahead...I wonder how many entrails have to be hanging out before they listen to the Ambulance as to triage) Gosh, and hope you are not white with an African American triage nurse. What if I'd had internal injuries and I'd died in the waiting room??? I'm just so shocked. I suspect discrimination, 100%. I was very 'white' in that room--and strangely other ethnicities were ALL taken first. I'd have LOVED to take a picture of that! I will testify to this till the day I die--and Thank GOD that nurse didn't cause my death. If I'd died--the blood is on HER HANDS. I will be approaching the hospital administration personally about triage racial discrimination.

Excellent medical facilities. They really take care of the details as well as their patients. They serve a large community and do a great job in the process.

The Arnot Ogden is a wonderful facility the Doctors and nurses are great. I became a patient for that very reason. Unfortunately I will have to find another place for care. I have 2 very good medical insurances but the billing system at the Arnot is awful. I have never had a worse experience. My medical insurance pays 90% of a well visit. I had just switched to the Arnot and required a well visit. 1 yr after the visit I get a bill, told it was not a well visit and dinged for $600.00. Love the hospital but even with 2 insurances cannot afford to go. Will have to find another facility. The billing staff really could care less and you would think that that you owe them money personally. Awful experience. :(

My Grandmother was recently a patient on floor 2. She was over medicated the majority of her stay. She was unable to function normally because she was so doped up! Nurses kept saying she's too weak to walk. She wasn't like that until she entered the hospital. They wouldn't let her use the bathroom on her own. When she did have to use the bathroom the nurse and cna took their sweet time to come in. She had nightmares while there. They would keep the lights off at night and when she needed help they wouldn't come. She was strapped to her bed for some unknown reason. She has made her daughter promise her that she won't ever go back there. Her granddaughters got her a blanket with pictures on it. That came up missing. Finally it was found days later at the facility that cleans the soiled bedding. When the nurses were asked questions about her care and why she was so medicated they had no answers. They did not care about her or her needs. It's disgusting and infuriating!! Arnot Ogden will be the last place I go or any of my family will go!

i came in on the august 27th with severe pneumonia. i would say everything up until today was great. i really only call nurse too use the facilities. today monday sept 2, i dont ow what was goin on, but when i need too go i can hold for up too aprox 20 minutes. not a soul came in and i peed all over myself.... i didn't come here for fun and games, im sick and i dont bother these busy nurses but they do not help each other. they walk past nurse lights of the patient isn't theres. i am on 2b floor. i feel embarassed and now being as sick as i been truly upset and betrayed. i would never walk by a signal on knowing another human might need help as simple as a bucket, arm of bed down and then a closed door. this just ruined my comfort for this hospital and all respect. someone from upper management should look into the distress of staff working together and why this " it's not my patient" attitude exists... ..
