Dropped by Aroma for a quick lunch while at Bayview. The place was packed and we had to wait for a few folks to finish eating before quickly grabbing our own seats. The long was also quite long to order. I ended up getting the grilled chicken and hummus bowl as well as a matcha latte. The bowl was delicious and I loved that it had pickled turnips which gave it such a crunchy and refreshing taste. The presentation was also very nice. However I do think the portion is a bit small for the price. It was almost 20 dollar for a bowl.

This is one of our go to spots with friends to chat and drink hot beverages. We especially like sitting at the small section facing the mall without windows. It has a patio like feeling. Staff is king and efficient. Pretty casual atmosphere and comfortable ambiance.
I like getting coffee with no sugar and cream and putting just a cinnamon at top. It gives me that seasonal taste with cinnamon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jenelle C.East York, CanadaMay 27, 2023
Can never go wrong with eating at Aroma and this location is no different. It's big with lots of seating. Service is standard. The food is always a hit. I tried the steak sandwich on a croissant for the first time which was delicious.
Would return to this location if I were in the mall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Thomas S.Old Toronto, Toronto, CanadaOct 14, 2023
This is indeed a three star Expresso Bar. The interior decor and ambience are quite comfortable. The service is good. But the hot apple cider and mango smoothie we order are too sweet. Not good drinks.

Worst Aroma coffee in this location. I've been used to go different Aroma locations and never saw one is like this terrible. At first, I came with my friend, my cortoda tasted no espresso flavor at all like diluted water. Second time, I came here and ordered the same thing, the barista only gave me half cup of cortoda. Seriously I pissed off at paying the price of coffee and got this low quality of my espresso coffee. Never ever come this location again.

Not sure why it has taken me so long to try Aroma. Decided to veer from my usual Starbucks and visit this cafe. I think the main reason I wouldn't come back to this location to work/study is the consistently high volume of people and bustling atmosphere. I was here from 2-5pm on a weekday, which I presumed wouldn't be peak time, but there was always a line and most of the seats remained filled throughout the afternoon. In addition, the wifi wasn't working. Luckily I was able to connect to South St. Burger's internet.
On the bright side, their beverage quality is certainly superb. I ordered a medium Brazilian hazelnut latte. There was a lot more than I expected, and it tasted fantastic. Plus they included a nice holiday-themed chocolate (surefire way to boost customers' spirits). I think I will be back if I want something to go.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2016
I was wandering through Bayview Village when I felt the need to eat something. I felt for something light, and after looking at some of the menus from the restaurants there, I decided to try Aroma Espresso Bar.
I ordered and paid for a Warm Chicken Salad at the cashier, they took my name and invited me to have a seat. My order was ready for pickup about 5 minutes later.
The salad was bigger than I expected and included two slices of bread with butter and a (packaged) balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The ingredients were plated separately instead of tossed but the chicken was kinda sliced and dropped on top. None of that really affected the taste but it looked a little sloppy.
It was a good salad in a clean and bright environment but there was nothing unique about it. It's hard to get excited about a salad. Good value.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 15, 2017
So I am trying this place out for brunch. 2nd time to an Aroma Cafe but a different location. 1st experience at this location is not that great. This has nothing to do with the staff, strictly against the patrons of this location.
The seating arrangements can be described as chaotic. I see more empty tables than chairs. People just grab all the free chairs and congregate at an already small table. Maybe this comment is more reflective on the store owner than patrons. Regardless, patrons ought to know a cafe this size isn't meant for big parties. So just a heads up to others who visit this place.
I came here with a friend to grab some brunch and coffee for catching up. The atmosphere is lively and loud. Having a conversation may not be a great idea.
Onto the venue... Not much can be described about this place. Pretty cramped in my opinion and not much room to maneuver without knocking into other patrons or their table. Also as mentioned above, not enough chairs for tables.
For the food and drinks... It's not bad. They have breakfast here. And all day breakfast to me is a plus.
Overall, I didn't have a great experience here. Also the rating is for 2.5 stars only.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 26, 2015
I like Aroma Espresso Bar.
Great place to have an espresso type coffee and a sweet and chill out a little. And of course, that piece of chocolate that comes with the coffee makes the experience so much more enjoyable.
This is the first time I visited Bayview Village Location and maybe my last time. The food and service was excellent. I really enjoyed my Espresso Con Panna and Apple Cinnamon Danish.
My advice though is to avoid this cafe if you see there is a line or if it is a full house. There are other cafes in the Mall if you want a coffee. It was passed lunch rush at around 2:30 pm on a weekday and this place was packed. People sat there after finishing their drinks/food and chatting away. Good luck in finding a table as no one was leaving and you have to fight for a table! There were some ladies almost got into a fight over a table and there was some pushing and shoving. Seriously, I would never have expected at Bayview Village Neighbourhood?!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Trevor T.Montreal, Canada15675130Aug 17, 2017
This was my second time here. You'll notice immediately that the location is quite small, and seating is crowded. It can get loud, so unfortunately it's not ideal for working.
I ordered an Italian Cheese Sandwich (half), a breakfast sandwich (half) and a café au lait, which came out to around $14. After you order, you can seat yourself and the staff will call out your name when your order is ready. The food was great, and I will enjoyed the coffee.
Personally, I prefer cafés with a quieter, more peaceful ambiance, so I this wasn't the best experience from me. I can't speak for other locations, but this one always seems to be busy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
