My stay at Buoy 16 was anything but enjoyable. Firstly, the rooms were wayyy too overpriced considering the area. I saw multiple beds with bed bugs and the owner proceeded to do nothing about it. If you're gonna stay anywhere, go anywhere but here!!

I loved my stay here, it was amazing. The view was great and I loved the whole ambience. I was trying to sleep but my mom was watching TV until 11:00 pm. I give it Easy demon out of five

This place is right next to boardwalk and that's the only good thing. The view is awful. The room was tiny, no coffee maker, no phone, no alarm clock. Tv was super tiny. The floor smelled like dirty feet. Sheets stunk too and comforters I'm sure we're not washed or pillow shams. Bathroom was ok. Towels like cardboard. No chairs outside hotel. No pool. Can't take beer outside hotel room on its property. The owners hang around outside all day long into night. The coffee spot next door not open until 11-12. I'm just saying for 700 for 2 nights..not good. Parking is so tight also. One wooden chair and 2 queen beds lol. The dresser handle fell
Off. Oh and no microwave. Just a hard bed, toilet and shower. Truly I wish we had booked further from boardwalk..having a nice place to stay not being watched like a hawk and feeling comfy would have been far more worth it. I'm so disappointed.

Our view from the room. No sitting outside, not one chair and no room anyway. Lol

Our reservation was booked through booking.com. By the next day, I had received an email stating that my card was declined and to call them within 24hrs to update. Ok fine I thought maybe I had entered the credit card incorrectly. I updated the information online as requested. You would think everything would be fine. A few hours later, I received a phone call from a man from the hotel asking if the person who's name is on the credit card (my boyfriend) would be staying in the room. Though I thought it was an odd question, but I confirmed. So my reservation was confirmed on the phone.
Upon arrival, we were met by a creepy middle aged man with a thick accent. The lobby reeked of Marijuana. He said well we don't have the queen room you reserved, but we will give you a room with 2 double beds at no extra charge. At first I wasn't going to say anything, but after collecting my thoughts, I realized he wasn't doing us a favor we would now have to share a smaller bed. So I politely voiced my concern and said how would that benefit us to have a room with a smaller bed to share? And he looked from my boyfriend then to me and said "oh, you're sharing a bed?" Seriously what kind of question is that to ask at a hotel check in. BUT again, I just answered his question, yes. So then he kept flipping through the papers and said let me check if we can get you the original room. He shortly returned, stating I have another room you can go up and look at it and let me know. So we went to room 10, (which on a side note smelled very strongly of fabuloso cleaner) and I met him back downstairs and said it's fine. At this point we were already there and needed a place to stay, and it was a holiday weekend so we had no alternatives.
The room itself was fairly basic. It had a bed, which later we realized was not a queen. It was also a full sized bed which was not our reservation. So not only did he try to tell us that he was doing us a favor but we still didn't get the room that we reserved. At this point I did not want to talk to the creepy guy again so we said whatever we'll just stay. The rest of the room was ok I guess with its 24 inch monitor screen they had posing as a TV. The bed had flat pillows that I mistakenly looked at inside the pillowcase and were severely stained. The smell of the cleaning products were so strong that my boyfriend actually got sick and vomited the first night. The room amenities were none there was a small refrigerator and a microwave but no cups or any standard hotel items unless you count the paper thin bar of soap in the bathroom.

The next morning, I attempted to shower early and turned on the hot water. I waited a good 10 min waiting for hot water to emerge from the shower head, but to no avail. I ended up taking a freezing cold shower which warmed up just as I stepped out.

We observed the creepy front desk guy trying to pull the same room switching stunt on another couple the next day. This is clearly his routine.

I think the part that really annoyed me the most, was when I returned home and checked my email, he canceled my booking.com reservation again for "decline card" Bro, you charged our card, we stayed at your establishment and are already home. This is clearly some scam they pull to avoid paying fees to the website that makes their reservations.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless you like dealing with scam artists and enjoy the smell of fabuloso cleaner.

Clean room just steps from the boardwalk and the ocean. Cool little ice cream/treat shop attached with DELICIOUS Italian ice, drinks, and food. Nice, cold a/c and bathroom smelled of bleach and was freshly mopped. Towels, soap, washcloths, and shampoo was provided. The pillows weren't very comfortable and were a bit flat and hard, but that is my only complaint. Great place to stay and the perfect location! You can honestly ditch your car completely for the entire stay. Highly recommend!

If I could give no stars I would. Not only did we wake up to numerous bug bites, but when we took it to the office to ask the staff to address, they rudely denied, telling us the cluster of bite marks are allergies. He even said that bug bites would only show up after four days! He took us to the room to show us that they are using bedbug protected sheets. Therefore, he claimed, there are no bugs at all and so a plastic sheet under the mattress is proof that the bite marks are allergies. I told him that the bites are linked and all over our bodies. He said, "Then show me the bugs! Where do you see bugs?" I was shocked. His tone was demeaning and completely just ignored our concerns. We paid the motel for one more night, I am so worried now. I will be bitten again tonight with my three children, and I am so scared now that I will bring the bugs home! This motel ruined my whole weekend trip. 8:30am

We decided to leave this place!

      A little update 11:00a.m

We spoke with a resident and the resident called the state inspectors to intervene.

When we walked back to the motel, another guy from Buoy 16 motel was standing outside waiting for us, angry and menacing. He loudly asked us why we called the state. Of course we called the state, or other travelers will be bitten. We said we called the state because there are bugs and we can show him the bite marks, but he said he didnt need to look at them. He said it must be from somewhere else or from allergic reactions. He then accused us of bringing bugs from somewhere else. He said the motel just reopened for the season and there are no bugs. The old stained carpet with smelly sheets and comforters showed plenty of negligence in cleaning. I told him that we are leaving and there is no point arguing.

We returned the keys and the guy said they can't refund the money for the second night because the weather was bad and we were not happy with our stay!

Room was dated however clean. A very quiet property and I was appreciative of that. I originally booked for 3 days and due to a personal issue after booking I called on a Thursday to inform them I would be able to stay Saturday and Sunday but not be able to stay Monday. Yes was informed this wasn't going to be an issue and still got hit an additional $100+. Was a good stay but not impressed with the way that went down. He had me by the curlys and I was the sucker. Ok stay but I won't be back.

My daughter decided she wanted to go to jersey shore for her 16 bday. After what seemed like forever of me looking through different motels in the area I finally decided on this place. The reason for that was the fact that a lot of the reviews that I read said that it was the cleanest one around which is very important my only hesitation was the price. At the end I chose this motel because if it's clean I don't care if I have to pay a little more.

Location is awesome right across from the boardwalk they did allow us to check in one hour earlier for free which was great. Parking is limited but I felt like our car was safe when we went to the room you could see and smell that it was clean. The room was very clean the owners very nice explained all the rules to us which I was grateful for because I had walked around to the other motels and saw kids hanging out the window looking for girls to bring to their room and playing loud music.

This is by far the best motel after walking around and seeing all the other ones. If your looking to stay somewhere quite and just enjoy your time there without annoying loud music or people having all kinds of guest in the rooms this is the place. Rooms are nice not huge but not that small either beds are comfortable we had everything we needed in our room and didn't even have to ask for anything else even tho they were very attentive and always asked us if we needed anything.

I would definitely stay here again when I go to the shore.

I went to Seaside with my friend and her 2 daughters. We arrived early and were able to check in right away which was great. I couldn't have picked a better location. It is literally 2 seconds from the boardwalk. I was able to park my car in a private lot right outside my window which I loved. We didn't need the car while we were there but it was nice to have it close. The place was clean. It was pricey but after waking around it was definitely the best place there. If you are looking to party and be drunk the whole time this place probably isn't for you.

Great location, very clean. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Location is great right near the boardwalk so you can go back and forth to the room. Great parking near the rooms. Overall seems to be one of the nicer places in the area. Owners are also very friendly and accommodating. On the down side - there wasn't a lot of space to put our things except for a small dresser and some very old chairs. Bathroom had a nook which would have been a great place for shelves but there were none. TV is small and the only place to hang anything was a small bar held up by a rack. Beds were uncomfortable. With some upgraded furniture and bedding this could be a five-star place on the beach but needs a little bit of work.
