This is the only mall in Jefferson City and is not within the city limits. It is 5 miles south of downtown and relatively easy to see off the 50 highway. Stores are not major anchors, only JC Penny's and Dunham Sporting Goods. It has a small food court with limited tables and the bathrooms near the food court aren't very clean or managed well. The only bright spot is the Dillard's Clearance Center that only has one entrance/exit facing the movie theatre complex. The other exits/entrances are purposely blocked to prevent theft and control where people bring their merchandise to pay. There is plenty of parking and lots of additional options to eat if you are looking for fast food or want to grocery shop at Hyvee. I hope this place survives the relatively low attendance. This place deserves a mall, especially the capitol of the state of Missouri.

It is hard to find malls still open and good reputable stores still in them. I enjoyed shopping there and the service at buckle was great.

This mall is like all small town malls, going by the way side. Unfortunately, the covid lockdowns have killed some of the stores. So there are empty spaces. But I enjoyed the JCPenney outlet I mean the amount of shoes and clothing blew my mind!! My husband is a tall guy and that was the most tall guy shirts in one location I have ever seen!! The bathrooms were clean and it was not over crowded. It was a snow day so, there were not alot of people out so that may change. But it was a nice day casually shopping.

New stores are coming and the mall is getting better and better every month. It's a great mall to suit the needs of the Jefferson City citizens.
UPDATE: Sep. 14 New stores are opening! A security officer welcomed me today. Great staff and thank you for serving our community!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cierra W.Independence, MO47375594Feb 11, 2017
This is a pathetic excuse for a mall. Seeing as this is located in the same city as Missouri's capitol, I expected a better shopping experience. This mall is very outdated and lacking in variety. The only modern stores here are Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works (although B&BW is the smallest one I've ever seen). Also, the food court has no choices. A Subway, some Chinese and a third place I don't remember... Let's just say I won't be returning.

This must be the inspiration for the Family Guy failing mall cut away https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xf3OmAHXGlA
While it has been undergoing "improvements", I think the owners should cut their losses and hire an arsonist. This place has or has had as stores- a inflatable ball fighting place, gym, church, senior center, in door playground, tractor display. Sears closed not sure if that makes it better or worse . Definitely the worst mall I have ever been too. A Walmart is a step up from this retail nightmare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chris H.Jefferson City, MO227190Dec 2, 2013
Ok, this mall sucks. You always hear on the news " renovations coming soon" but its been almost a year and still, nothing. Oh wait, they got new plants. If this mall wants to attract new businesses then they better keep the ones they have left because it's even harder to get new stores when a mall is EMPTY. The mall is just so drab. The tile is ugly, the walls are pink, and the storefronts are so outdated. Especially Camelots or whatever. Come on. I would love to shop at this mall but there's barley anything here!!! The owners say they are going to revitalize this place but if they want to get this former GGP piece of crap back up they better do it soon. If you ever want to shop at a decent mall then make the 120 mile drive to West County Center in Saint Louis.

Finally, my first 2 star. I've waited years to review this place.
In my youth, this place amazed me. I loved this place. The arcade, the horrible choices for food, the Sears, the JCPenny, the K-B Stores, the cookie store, the mini golf (closed for sure), the Garfields restaurant, the Gap, Waldenbooks...
Then I got older. Then I got pickier. This place was a joke the last time i was there (2007).
It was hard to imagine how easily entertained I could be. How a few stores and I thought the Capitol Mall was the greatest thing ever.
Sure I enjoy the memories of my friends and I hanging out at the mall, but for adults (which I'm almost) it's nothing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Big Mama's M.Lake of the Ozarks, MO2815361667Jul 30, 2015
Okay, this is one of those malls that could easily be the set for a zombie apocalypse movie because inside, it's 3/4's or more, empty. There are only a couple of reasons I go there, JC Penny's and the inside playground for my grandkids.
That playground is heaven sent when it's hot and sticky outside. It is very clean, the restrooms are very close by and they are in the middle of what is called the "food court."
That area is always busy with moms and kids and the ladies that keep the mall clean, take a great deal of pride in keeping the food area spotless. The playground is also closed for about an hour every day so all the structures can be wiped down.
That said, there are currently renovations going on right now, a HUGE, brand new sign just went up on the outside and it looks as though Kohl's is moving in. This place has great potential, but I wonder why no one has thought of putting an ice skating rink inside. It's hot enough in the summer to drive people inside to cool off and it's a no brainer in the winter.
The mall could host parties, lessons etc as a way to get folks in there. This could be a really cool place, all they need is some forward thinking folks with epic social media skills....:o) Okay, I'll do it!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kendra B.Belle, MO010Oct 14, 2018
It's definitely small, so don't expect a lot if you are from a big city. Still, there's enough stores to kill a few hours! They have actually improved and added a lot since I was last here, and it was fun to spend a day walking around and shopping. They have a Bath and Body, Ross, JCPENNEY, Rue 21, Buckle, some kids stores, and a bookstore to name a few. There's also a nail salon inside that I've never been to but always seems busy. They have a play area for kids and the restrooms always seem to be very clean. Their food court is decent: pretzels, ice cream and giant cookie place, Chinese and a restaurant that reminds me of Chipotle but with way less options. My husband got the Chinese and didn't care for it but I was happy with the burrito place! The mall is also always clean and the staff are, generally, awesome. Glad to see it is improving!
