I brought my newborn here after getting referred by our pediatrian. They called for appointment two days later, and I got appointment next day.(Note that this timing was also during the covid-19/shelter in place era. Also during this time, only one guardian was allowed in the room.)
The sonogram was done on our crying baby, so props to them. We then met with Dr. Hill. He was professional, friendly, and easy to understand. Since I was in the waiting room calling in via FaceTime, he also made sure to keep me in the conversation as much as possible, which was accommodating.
Our visit was brief and during a non-busy time, and thankfully our baby doesn't have anything too serious, but I was happy with our interaction at this practice overall.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Monica S.Placerville, CA010Jan 16, 2025
Started off with trying to charge me $500 due to insurance being inactive instead of asking if my insurance changed with the new year, which it did. Moving on to the visit, my daughter was asked to undress for the EKG down to her bra and had to sit there like that during most of the visit with the male doctor. They then had her walk down a busy hallway to the Echo room with only a bra and paper vest where she got fully undressed on top for the Echo. Multiple people came in and out of the room during the Echo exam including the male doctor(twice). This was very uncomfortable for my daughter and inappropriate. I had to go back into the first room to grab her clothes or they would have had her walk back down the hallway again. The medical assistant then had me pay for my copay on a cellphone that had a broken screen and snapchat notifications popping up on it. I am really upset at the experience especially when we waited for this important appointment, and something is wrong with her heart. I would have sent this to them personally and still plan to, but their website isn't working. Reading the reviews, this isn't the first time this has happened to someone.

I was very impressed by the quality of care provided to my daughter by Dr. Stan Wright. I am usually disappointed by doctors and have very high standards, being in healthcare myself, however Dr. Wright was the consummate professional. You don't often find doctors of his caliber anymore. Extremely good bedside manner and very sharp in his diagnostic analysis.

Location: great right off the freeway parking right under and they validate parking. (Only issue here we got a bit lot trying to find it we wished they would have told us how to find it so when ur in the parking garage take the elevator to the second floor) not from the street side from the parking garage.
Staff: everyone was friendly we had no issues at all from the security in the parking garage she helped us find the suite to the doctor and nurses.
(Doctor did walk in on the test which was weird to me but not uncomfortable I would be uncomfortable if I was the one getting it done though and someone just barged in)
Everything went fast and smoothly we were the second or third appointment of the day and we were new patients they did routine things and two tests. Prob there 40 min if that.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Delora C.Elk Grove, CA010Dec 11, 2019
Doc and nurses were nice enough, HOWEVER, their lack of coordination and unthoughtfulness left my daughter feeling violated. My daughter was told to undress and wear an opened vest and doc will be in shortly. Soon after a nurse rushed us to follow her to the heart recording room. I told her, my daughter just got undressed, it's ok for us to walk there? She told us it was fine as she left the room. We quickly grabbed our things and followed to catch up with her. My daughter was barely covered as we passed by about 10 people even a teenage male patient. We finally get to the room and doc walks in and speaks to me but didn't introduce himself to my daughter as he and his nurse swiped the ultrasound tool all over her bare chest. When we thought it was over we were told to go back to our patient room. I asked the nurse if my daughter can get dressed before walking down that long public hall. She dressed and we continued back to our room but we walked in another patient being examined. The nurse apologized but by then we couldn't wait to get out of there. It was almost comical that we experienced that. We asked each other when we left, did all of that just happen??

My boy had an appointment a few months ago with James Hill, MD. He is a kind, professional and to the point doctor. I can wholeheartedly recommend him especially today, when power games seem to become more important than the patient itself. He will sit with you and explain what the results mean, he will talk TO your son/daughter and not DOWN to.
