      I sold my 10 year old Subaru through carmax. I started with the online quote portion which was quick & easy. I received my estimate quickly & with that quote I went into the lancaster dealership & was greeted by friendly competent employees. The whole process went smoothly & I left that day with a check!

      Due to a confusion in communication their service department cancelled my appointment. This dealer is 1hr away and I wasted my time and gas. Spoke to Ty the manager and he said he couldn't do anything together me in. Oh and I am a customer as well. NOT ANYMORE.

      If I could rate this location, it would be no stores. I purchased my vehicle on June 24. I've noticed things that were wrong with it and reported it I live out of state so I took it to my local Carmax. There has been a lot of work on the vehicle, it not not passed inspection, I have been unsuccessful with contacting anyone at the Lancaster location. This has been a horrible experience. Not to mention I purchased a vehicle two weeks prior from my local Carmax and have had to take it into service twice already. I will never buy another vehicle from Carmax.

      Poor customer service. Damage to vehicle. Calls would ring and go unanswered. Dishonest management. Don't buy from this store.

      Overall, I had a positive experience buying my Tesla MYP. I originally reserved a MYP with 1k miles for a couple thousand less. They sold my "reserved" car to someone else. So, that wasn't great. But, I found one with a white interior, tow hitch, and garage door opener with 3k miles and it cost maybe 2k more. Their cars are all priced differently for the same year/model depending on the location. Some are fair, some are expensive. Mine was fairly priced. I specifically wanted a 2022 and not a 2023 since Tesla got rid of the sensors and moved to vision. I got a low mileage car that was only a few months old in the exact configuration I wanted. I appreciate that you can bring back the car. Anyone who has dealt directly with Tesla knows it can be awful. I have no problem paying more not to deal with Tesla. Buying at Carmax is like buying a car at Walmart and is pretty low brow, but it can work if they have what you are looking for. There was no pressure and it didn't take long. Dont use their financing. Go to your local credit union if you are not paying cash.

      Nice enough in the beginning, but once we accepted their already low offer on my vehicle my husband drove to Harrisburg to get the title and sell. Came RIGHT back and they told us that the transmission was shot (we just put a brand new transmission in, no lights on or codes or anything!) So much wasted time! Why make an offer and not check whatever they checked before?!
      I would never recommend them.

      As a previous employee it's a complete disaster. Whether you're an employee or customer. Non stop newly sold cars come back. I missed a few days from a car accident and the flu and lost my position. Loss prevention accused me of something where as the warranty company came out and confirmed it to get the customer a new motor. Their own people agreed and approved the job proving i was correct... Tim, Troy are puppets with false precedence.Joined together against me up to push me out. Claimed i commited fraud but all i did was tell the truth and i can prove it. I got the customer a new engine after the vehicle sat there for a month.Their service team tries and are under paid, also lack complete mechanical knowledge. I'm publicly disgusted with their false employee succession plans it's a dead end customer or employee. Highly not recommended. I wish I could give 0 stars I spent 100s on uniform stuff that I'll never use. All there cars have issues but they push them and they come back to service. Buyer beware !! Almost all their cars have body work and there service department has to deal with all the missed malfunctions. STAY AWAY !!!!

      I was forced to resign or be fired. 21 years in the business and this has been the worst place I ever worked..
      They are not employee oriented unless you're a slave and when you act in the best interest of the customer they brag that they take care of it but that's only because you purchased a car that's had a lot of work to get it on their retail line. Their staff is great but their process across the country is profound

      Went in to buy a $10k car I had ordered and they brought in the wrong car. Ended up with a painful loan. Will not be going there again.

      Purchased a vehicle on 11/22/2022 the day of the purchase I was beat I just wanted to make the purchase and go home. I later learned that the keys I was given for vehicle was not the appropriate keys for the vehicle because the keys did not include the side door operations so I have been manually opening and closing the doors. I am pissed because I do not want to have to drive all the way from west Philadelphia to Lancaster county for the correct set of keys. Bluh

      I am not surprised at all about the negative reviews. They are the worse, so please avoid purchasing a vehicle from this place. They are overpriced and low quality, and they love to give you the run around to get anything fixed.
