The person in here that wrote the nasty review for the Webb Center doesn't know what they are talking about. You can't smoke here because it is a High School, liquor is sometime served only inside the Center and you are not allowed to take it outside. As for the staff being rude I do not believe that ever happened, I have worked many shows there and we bend over backwards to make people feel comfortable. The only time any of Paul Thorns group were available to talk to was after the show and it was in the lobby.
This is a great place to see some really good shows, do not pass up the chance to come and take in a show.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsay C.Hanson, MA243642548Mar 9, 2012Updated review
Last night was Damn Yankees, the musical. I'm lowering the rating NOT because of the venue (which was spectacular, yet again) but because of the show. It was good, but not great. One or two issues with sound: one actor booming, other actors could hardly be heard. The house was packed, probably not a seat in the entire building.
Chaparral Ice Cream once again sold snacks, coffee/tea and ice cream during intermission.
A word on parking: valet parking for $3 (plus tip) is worth it in my opinion. Otherwise, you would end up walking a pretty far distance. Also, for those who need assistance, there is a courtesy golf cart to shuttle you to and from your car.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 27, 2012Previous reviewWow! Saw the 100 Years of Broadway show tonight-- packed house! Amazing light and sound. Very impressed by the professionalism of the house staff and their ability to book world-class broadway stars here at the Del Webb center.
Side notes: Chaparral Ice Cream has snacks before the show and intermission. Expensive, but your only option. Food and drink not permitted inside the theater. Flash photography and sound recording not permitted. Bathrooms are limited to the entry wings; ladies, expect to wait a long time. Arrive early; patrons who arrive late are seated at the house manager's discretion.Feb 13, 2012Previous reviewImpressive lineup for the 2011-2012 season. Great performing arts center for the size of the town, clean, well designed, great acoustics. Sound booth has had many issues over the years, however. Would love to see that issue resolve completely. Theater seats 600 persons.
Valet parking available for $3 on a usual night. Would like to see less Country Western giddy up type acts and more ballet and opera (I saw the Arizona Opera this weekend).
All in all a great out-of-the-way theater that will continue to host great acts for years to come.

I will never go back to this venue again. I was there with my husband and 6 of my friends to see my favorite band The Paul Thorn band on a Sunday night. Paul was awesome as usual but this venue was horrible. Liquor is served inside but you are not allowed to smoke outside the building or in the parking lot. Smoking is not allowed on campus but drinking is? The people working the venue were very cranky senior citizens and terribly rude. Since two of my friends were more cowboy looking we were profiled and spoken to as if we were trash. What a bunch of judgmental people. We were chatting with Paul's manager and some of the band and one cranky man working there told us to take our talking into the lobby. I can't stress enough how rude they were. Skip this venue.

We recently saw comedian Bill Engvall at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. This was our first time being here. We were delightfully surprised. It's a smaller theater and seems kinda weird that it's connected to the local High School. But because it is a smaller venue, there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. If they ever get another performer we want to see, we would be glad to return for another show.

Took my girls out for Valentine's on Saturday night! Jeanne Robertson was in town, always wanted to see her but was never out west until now. This center is not that big, but that is fine with me! You don't have to deal with the outrageous crowd, and everything else that comes with it! I can truly say that there is not a bad seat in the place!! Seats are comfortable, and they don't try to squeeze you in a sardine can! And of course the show made it that much better! If they are having any other show I want to see, I will be there again!!

Again I'm surprised nobody has found this place. Just 30 minutes from Sun City Grand (Ah, maybe that's why).
Absolutely GREAT stage shows like the Redneck Tenors, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Brubeck Brothers, Kathy Mattea, PLEASE, use this info for yourself and don't pass it on. Because it's only a 600 seat place and there are no bad seats. Believe me, NONE! Call them or visit their website and GO!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ivan S.Atlanta, GA7143Sep 6, 2009
A really great place for a great show! This place is a treasure and always has an eclectic schedule. Students 18 and under are only $5, too, so it can't be beat. I highly recommend trying them out. My only recommendation is to make reservations for dinner before the show, because the local restaurants will get jam packed.

What a great venue in Wickenburg. We bought tickets well in advance and they came promptly without any problems. The center is conveniently located just outside the downtown area and there are s bunch of hotels and restaurants nearby. Easy parking and great acoustics in an intimate setting. Bravo.

We try to go at least once a season... The performers are top line, and the production is very good.
