If you want to be ripped off by terrible people then go, but otherwise steer clear. This dentist is terrible. 2x my filling fell out. They overcharged 600. For my crown on purpose so that I would get more work. There policy is 6 to 8 weeks for refund. Then when you ask for it they throw you out of their practice. I am paying fees on my credit card for there overcharge. I would not suggest at all. Poor dental work and bad customer service.

Love this dental office. Staff is very professional, personable, considerate, caring, efficient and respectful. Didn't wait but a few moments before being called in for my first crown appointment. Dr. Montes was gentle, friendly, respectful truly and professional. I know people don't like dental offices but if you need a good dental care facilities in southwest Florida, give them a try.

Dec 7, 2023Previous reviewWe have tried different dental offices in SW FL. This dental office proved to be a good choice for myself and my husband. We gave them our dental insurance information so they could check to make sure we qualified. After a few weeks, we received appoints for our first appointment with them. After completing our forms online, signed the documents in person, we were called in to do our X-rays, evaluation and cleaning. Christine was our hygienist. Very efficient and gentle. Dr Montez came in to do the initial exam and gave the prognosis of our teeth. The whole office is clean and spacious. Front desk receptionist is very friendly p, patient and understanding. We are certain this dental practice will be our permanent dental care facility.

I would give zero stars if I could. Stay far away from Dr. Andrea Wise. Not only did she improperly prep a tooth for a crown (two times, same tooth), she also couldn't get the proper impressions made for the crown (again, two times, same tooth). We are out over $1,000 for a crown that is literally twice the size as the original tooth. Awful experience. I wish we had never stepped foot in this office.
Lance, Renee advised me on 4/13/22 that I would receive a form in 3-5 business days to cease care at this practice and to issue me a refund. I emailed on 4/20/22 asking about the status of this form and as of 4/22/22 I have received nothing yet. Everyone in this office is amazing. Friendly and very personable. Works with kids too! Dentist is gentle and explains things in ways you can actually understand.

After multiple experiences with different dentists, I can confidently say that Dental Care at Verandah is by far the best. I was greeted promptly by the practice manager, Renee. I had a great appointment with my hygienist and even the Doctor I saw, I believe it was Montez, was extremely helpful in understanding my dental health. The office had a great atmosphere and it was squeaky clean too!

Do NOT go to this office. I went to this office when Dr. Boogaard was there in 2020. The practice was phenomenal, everyone was polite, very helpful, the dentist himself was the type that would not push treatment on you that you did not need, everything about it was amazing. I referred my whole family to them, and my husband even went for Invisalign treatment. We paid for everything up front in September and he got his first set of trays within two weeks. In February of this year, he was on his last set of trays and had been scanned in January for his refinement trays. At his appointment in February, they said Dr. Boogaard was no longer with the practice, and that Dr. Montez was taking over my husband's treatment. When my husband requested an update on his trays at his supposed appointment where he was to receive the trays, they told him they LOST HIS TRAYS, and he needed to be rescanned again. When he took the issue up with Dr. Montez, he said "I don't know what to tell you."
After all is said and done at this appointment, within the next few weeks my father-in-law had an appointment. The staff discussed my husband's treatment plan with his father who is NOT an authorized person on his account and violated my husband's HIPPA rights and did not even have the decency to ever call us on an update on his treatment. He went 12 weeks without an update and MULTIPLE non-returned phone calls from the office. We left message after message, spoke to the office manager, and still had no answer until I finally had to be nasty with the staff. I finally told them we wanted to cut ties with their office and seek treatment elsewhere as we felt completely disrespected as loyal patients who pay their bill every time, referred others to their office, and never missed any appointments. I requested a refund so that we could redo treatment elsewhere which took over 4 weeks to even give us putting my husband now at 17 weeks without new trays and now his teeth have shifted because of this failure to complete his treatment from the office. They have so far only given us a partial refund and we have yet to be refunded the remaining $2,000 after once again multiple phone calls and messages and being told "you'll get a call on this day" and never hearing from them. We have sent a request to release his records with the new office via their email that THEY TOLD ME, and they have yet to release his records to our new office, so we STILL are unable to complete treatment. My husband went in for a crown and his temporary crown broke several times. When getting his permanent crown, it didn't fit. The whole process was a big ordeal. After several attempts, all is well. I had a crown put on a while back on a tooth that didn't bother me but was told I had to get or id need a root canal. So I got it. I had so much pain after that I had to have a root canal! Im still getting sensitivity. How do you get sensitivity when your roots are gone? They referred me to a specialist. $$$ Great!! Im afraid to go back so currently looking for another dentist! :(

So, this is a bait and switch dental office which basically commits insurance fraud, but not against the insurance company...you are the victim of this con.
Here is their business model:
1) You come in because you know you need some dental work (crowns, etc.)
2) They show you an estimate for the work to be done, and your expected payout based upon your insurance.
3) You agree to the work because their quote amount looks reasonable.
4) You have the work done...(Now is when the fraud starts)
5) The charge you what they said they would based on the estimated insurance, you pay the amount the same day as the work, and think that that is that.
6) They submit the claim, and all is quiet for a few months.
7) The insurance company then questions them about the work that was done.
8) They divulge information about the work which they obviously withtheld from both you and the insurance company before ---e.g. "The tooth that was crowned had less than 50% decay"
9) The insurance company reverses its previous decision, and rejects the claim.
10) Verandah Dental says you are now responsible for the entire amount, and if you don't like it - TOO F'ING BAD. They will proceed with debt collection if you don't pay.
10 Easy steps for them, and then you're left with thousands of dollars of debt you never, ever planned on.
I submitted a criminal complaint against this office, but I'm now sure this was a waste of time - those sites are just for letting you vent I guess.
At any rate, no one ever followed up, so screw me I guess.
Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE. THEY COMMIT INSURANCE FRAUD ON A REGULAR BASIS. BUT NOT AGAINST THE INSURANCE COMPANY, IT'S THE BAIT AND SWITCH ON YOU WHERE THE FRAUD HAPPENS.
