Since the freeway and all arteries leaving town were clogged with traffic, we ventured to near by Rodeo to investigate a park that I had seen on the map. I'm so glad we did.
This very nice park is just the right size. We came in the Spring, so it wasn't very busy. We experienced a clean and well maintained park. I appreciated that all the sidewalk path had been leveled, no "lip" of concrete to catch your toe and make you trip. This park has it all. A nice walk path. Basket ball court. Tennis court. Kiddy play structure. Cabana. Pic-Nic tables and barbecue pits (just a few). Nice green area to throw down your blanket to read, eat or play a game of cards. Free parking on the street, no parking lot. Nice neighborhood. We felt a cool breeze while there. Hope it's there in the summer! I don't know about bathrooms. I didn't see any signage and there may be some in the Cabana, I didn't investigate that bit out fully. Hopefully they are accessible to the public.

For all you budding pokemon go trainers, this park has 3 pokestops! You can literally stand in the middle of playground by the swing and hit all 3 stops.

The park is nice and spacious. There is a small playground for the younger kids and a small playground for the older kids.

A park for all ages, I see older people enjoy walking around the park for their morning or afternoon exercise. There also is a basketball court and tennis court.

There are also a few bbq grills and benches right around the playground and basketball court. The open grass field can be used for football, volleyball, baseball, soccer or you can set up tents, tables and chairs for a party. There is no parking lot so you would park around the park. It can get packed during nice summer days. There is even a small community building where you can rent to hold parties. Sometime they hold community events in that building. The park has 1 men and 1 women restroom although I am not sure when they lock and unlock them.

For the most part the park is clean and well maintained. The reason I give this park 3 stars for a few reasons -
      1. The park is not well lit. I walk my dog in the morning before work and at night. The only light I get is a light from a house across the park and the light from the basketball court. I consider this park fairly safe but I still would not walk around the park by myself in the dark.
      2. The playground swing. There is 1 swing for a little toddler but the swing appears to be set up for 2 swings. I wish there was a big kids swing in addition to the little kids swing.
      3. Parking. There is no parking lot so on beautiful days when everyone wants to be at the park, you will have to park up or down the street.
      4. The benches and grill area are no longer 1st come 1st serve on the weekends. If you want to use the area for a party, you have to now pay to reserve these areas. This can be good or bad but I rather not pay to reserve.

I remember going to this park as a child for City sponsored Easter egg hunts. Great times.

I like the tot lot at this park. The cop car under the play structure is especially cute. Love that there are two toddler swings.

The big kid area is nice too...with a few slides.

Lots of grassy areas to run and play and picnic on.

This park has some shade and that's nice.

There are also a few picnic tables and a recreation center with bathrooms - although I'm not sure you can access the bathrooms without access to the rec center.

I come to this park primarily to play basketball. I used to come here often, but stopped because of school. The courts did not have nets before, but it looks like they put new ones in. Great plus for me! The only thing I would say I'd that the rims are a little shaky, maybe because the bolts aren't in all the way. But great place to spend time with friends and family.
