Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-Libertyville

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding this past summer. The room rates were reasonable for the hotel block. Our room was nice and clean. Lord only knows, I have had quite the experience with terrible hotel rooms over the years. Hampton Inn is usually pretty good. This location was thankfully super clean!

We hit a bit of snafu when checking in. I don't know what website I saw that stated they were pet friendly. Nonetheless, I called the hotel AHEAD OF TIME to verify this was so. The person who answered told me yes and that there was a $75 fee. When my boyfriend arrived before I did with our dog, they told him no pets allowed except for service dogs. As a therapy dog, they said our pup was ok. In the future, I will make sure to document the name of the person with whom I spoke to avoid any hassles!

The breakfast was ok. Typical continental breakfast - meh. There was a large seating area which worked out for our huge family the day after the wedding. That was nice.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Will keep this location in mind if I'm ever back in the area.

This hotel is simple but clean. But the staff is outstanding, especially Kayla whose warmth and helpfulness at my late night check-in was such a gift after a nightmare experience at another nearby hotel. My room and the hotel overall is very clean. Included breakfast has a variety of cold and warm options that were tasty. Overall, this is a great hotel with great people keeping it running.

During our check-out at the Holiday Inn Libertyville today, we encountered an unpleasant situation with the front desk clerk, Ali. Despite attempting to address our concerns with the hotel manager at 7 am, they dismissed our issues and sided with the clerk. This experience was unprecedented for me, and while I'm uncertain if it was a case of profiling, I've reached out to corporate and will continue to pursue the matter.

My aim is to prevent other families from undergoing similar experiences in the future.

The hotel was very accommodating & staff were helpful and caring. The room was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was fresh and delicious. I will definitely choose Hampton Inn again in the future!

We have stayed at this property for years whenever we are in town visiting family. It has continued to go downhill over the years. The property is not maintained! Our most recent stay -- the hallways smelled horrible and then when we got into our room there was a plug-in air freshener!! GEE, I wonder why??? Then found lipstick stain on the sink along with hair in the shower and a dirty washcloth left behind. Their cleaning staff is horrible. And the CRAP food they serve in their "free" buffet is a joke. The only decent thing at the breakfast bar is their coffee which isn't bad. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We stayed there for 3 nights starting on a Sunday during Mother's Day, May 14th 2023 due to an unexpected occurrence at home. And the rate for the double queen room totaled $300+. There was breakfast inclusive of the price. There were not a lot of choices but there was the oatmeal, coffee, vending juice machine, yogurt, milk, fruits, bread, muffin, bagel and the waffle maker. Hot food changed everyday. Coffee is served throughout the day. Each floor has a vending and ice machine.
Since we liked it here as the place may be on the main road but in a quieter area, we stayed for two more nights, got the suite rooms. More spacious and still comes with a coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator in a kitchenette. The rooms are nice as you would see from other hotels. The bathroom was spotless and clean! There was more moving space so our two younger kids could actually have more playing space. The rooms are all equipped with an in shower shampoo-conditioner-shower/body gel and lotion. There is room service daily and have an option for towel only change and the staff is very polite and friendly. I also saw that the carpets were professionally being vacuumed not sure if it was vacuum steam as the hose was long coming from an outside machine or something. I was too busy to notice. But it wasn't just an ordinary vacuum that one can have at home. And since it was a weekday it was way cheaper like a $150+. There are no joined rooms in the building so our rooms were in front of each other. Our two adult daughters stayed in the other suite.
Kids were able to use the indoor pool. It was clean and well maintained. And when we go out, we need not look for a gas station as Shell was just beside this hotel. It was a stress free stay in this hotel. Hopefully the bathroom stays spotless as years go by. Highly recommended!

My wife and I recently got married and had our hotel block at the Hampton Inn in Libertyville. We had a suite, which was nice and cozy. It was large and spacious on the first floor. We were able to host our guests for an evening in the hotel dinning area for no additional cost and ordered pizza. It was awesome being able to have a family and friend gathering that was BYOB. We eventually made our way to the pool and hung out there as well. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and the accommodations were wonderful.

Make sure you check your room charges before leaving. Hotel charged me my complimentary water. As a honors member it is free.

Calls to hotel have not rectified the issue. Its now the point they made a mistake an are ignoring it...

We've stayed at this hotel a few times and every time we always received great service at reception. The rooms are always nice and clean and the pool is a big plus. The breakfast always has lots of options for adults and kids. Definitely will be returning.

DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL IF DEPENDING ON THE SHUTTLE TO TAKE YOU TO THE NAVY BOOT CAMP graduation, Selected this hotel based on being an Hilton Honors member and the convenience of the shuttle to attend the US Navy boot camp graduation. Was told shuttle would pick up my family at 6:20 am however shuttle was a no show. Had the 6:20am appointment in writing however, it was not honored. Inquired at desk and was offered a 7:30 am shuttle instead. This pick up time was not conducive to my schedule as plans had already been made around the 6:20 am pickup. Manager on duty on 6/15/2023 refused to speak with me and instead had the desk clerk offer to eliminate my $50 early check in fee. I insisted on talking to the manager but this never happened. In reality, I spent more than $50 on ride share cost to and from the graduation. Called to have the $50 charge removed, this never happened. Never received an apology from the manager for their failure to deliver as they stated in writing. Do not stay here, as they do not deliver and do not show any remorse for their mistakes.
