Hawaiian Style Fishing

Josh and Tyler were amazing!!! We booked our trip for our son (11) who loves fishing. The family of 4 set out for a fun fishing excursion. however, in the first 20 minutes, our 11 year old claimed he wanted to go back, as we had a bit wavy of a morning. We encouraged him to push through. 30 minutes in, we got some bait fish on the line, and Tyler and Josh went to work right away helping us and guiding us to reel them in. However, they could sense our son wasn't doing well with sitting still, so rather than fish a sweet spot for some bait fish, they pushed on with trolling. Tyler and Josh exclaimed they had to cancel the last couple days due to the waves/weather, and so this was their first day back out. We had a great strike, but was unsuccessful at reeling it in. Trolling was a but unsuccessful, so the guys suggested we do some bottom fishing. THIS is what set them apart from other charters. I read up on some charters just trolling for 4 hours and catch nothing. These guys decided to put that bait fish to work with bottom fishing. And did it work! And by this time, my son was over the sea sickness and having a great time!

Overall - this is the charter to get when staying on Kauai! They have a passion for fishing, they want to make sure you have a great time, and they talked us through what they were doing to find the fish. AND they paid attention to all members (son) and made sure to adjust as needed.

OH - and they were more then generous with sharing the catch! We saved a bit on meals with that generosity!

Brah. Where do I start?! Great customer service and so informative! Captain tyler was phenomenal, fun, laidback, and loved sharing his family history and experiences. We booked a private charter and started the adventure at 0530. Worth every penny and minute! Got approximately 12 fish, all sorts of tuna. We took enough for two couples and the rest to share. Super crew. The boys made us feel right at home. We fished right off the bat. Out of all the charters I've been on these guys are great. 20 plus fish. My arm was a bit tired at the end. Skip and Mahi to start mixed in with yellowfin. You can tell when your on fish they like to keep going.. that's my style! Bring a rested arm and expect lots of reeling. Good times!

This family owned and operated fishing charter is amazing! We had such an incredible time headed out early in the morning caught a number of fish had a great company, good conversation and an incredible caption and deck hand. This father son duo are on point. They know their stuff and are such great company. Such a wonderful experience with them. I will definitely recommend them to friends and come back to fish with them next time we visit.

We had the pleasure of having Terry and his son Tyler be our guides. They were not only very knowledgeable, they were fun & entertaining. They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. This family has found it! We were there with our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren 10 and 7. They had a blast and caught more fish than we could have hoped for in 4 hrs. Our 10 yr old LOVES to fish! What a lifetime memory Terry & Tyler provided all of us. It is the only fishing charter we would recommend! Enjoyable & Informational! We saw rainbows, sea birds, bottle nose dolphins, spinner dolphins, a whale, a beautiful sunrise and lots of fish! We were lucky to catch a couple different kinds. We had tuna sashimi and Mahi Mahi filets for dinner. Out of this world! Sashimi was like butta! Can't give enough stars for this amazing father and son team! THEY ARE AS AWESOME AS IT GETS! Seriously, our family's first time doing a fishing charter and they instantly made us feel welcome and at ease even when the seas got a little rough. They are true pros, so kind, and leave you wanting to go again, not just for the fish but for their aloha. Love these guys!!!!

Hands down the best fishing experience I've ever had.

We took off at approximately 6 a.m and made our way out to the open waters off the coast of Kapa'a. Including myself and my brother, there was 1 more passenger on our charter and of course Captain Terry and one of his sons.

We trolled for approximately 20 minutes once off shore and our first bite happened. My brother reeled in a huge 25-30 pound yellow fin tuna and it was a beast! From there, it felt like taking candy from a baby. Between the 3 of us we reeled in a whopping 15 beautiful fish including the yellowfin tuna, amberjack and crevalle jack.

The secret sauce was Captain Terry and his son. These guys are the real pros and definitely helped us be a success. A portion of the fish is divided and filleted once we returned to shore allowing for 1-2 meals while on island and let me tell you, it's some damn good eatin'.

I highly recommend this charter whether you are a beginner or avid fisherman, you will have a blast.

I will 100% do this again on my next trip to Kauai.

Rented 2 boats. We were on a boat with Terry and he was great. Funny stories, worked hard to get us fish. Lures weren't working for an hour, so switched to fish bait which worked like a charm. Our friends on the 2nd boat had his twin sons and had a blast too.. I would definitely recommend. We caught about 14 yellowfin tuna and 2 aku in 4hrs. We used Meclizine the night before and 1/2 tab in AM. No issues. Some awesome poke that night. Way better than what you can buy
