Best campground I've ever seen or been too! There's three pools and plenty of room to stretch out definitely a great place to camp! If you're not a member then consider getting a membership or don't more room for those of us that have a membership.

We are members here and you need to pay a yearly fee (deed) to attend the campground. It is a RV/travel trailer resort. We typically have events with live music a couple times a week, as well as food trucks (but only during summer to my knowledge). There are less families than any other group of people but we still enjoy having a home-away-from-home.
The routine is 14 days booked (with a minimal daily fee) and 7 days off-site (some storage available on site).
Bathhouses, pavilion, overflow parking, clubhouse and some weekly events (during the summer) included. Laundry room available but we rarely use it.
Dogs allowed with proper vaccines and license. There is a small dog park on site.
We really enjoy the two pools (one with kiddie area and lifeguards).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan H.Hampton, VA420Jun 12, 2022
Pros:
My family and I lived in a camper for awhile and stayed here often. This was inarguably our favorite place to stay. We loved that they always had events going on, for both adults and kids. Great vibe, plenty to do, it's safe, extremely close to Sandbridge beach. They have the cleanest bathrooms out of any campground we've stayed at, and they have a great staff, for the most part.
Cons:
The staff was always very pleasant and friendly, with the exception of Rachael. I always make it a point to treat others with respect and dignity, but her ego and attitude has prevented her from returning the same respect in any of our interactions. I always made my business with another staff member if I could.
Additionally, as I was transferring my deed, the transferee called the cove to ask about transferring the deed at the VB courthouse. The buyer was given misinformation and was told that the deed had to be transferred at Indian Cove, which is false... Of course, the buyer said she spoke to Rachael. The courthouse charges $32 to transfer, where the Cove charges $150, if I remember correctly.
I know for a fact the staff knew you can transfer the deed at the courthouse, as I had transferred my other deed a week or two prior, and the transferee had already submitted the paperwork from the courthouse to the cove.
That's all, folks.
If you're a full timer, this place is well worth it.
Have a nice day!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Don B.San Jose, CA02416Jun 24, 2022
A very nice RV park. Large but not jammed together most of the spaces are on the water or very close. If I lived on the east coast I would utilize this place more often.

This is a membership only campground. We are members through our Coast to Coast membership and this place is beautiful. The sites are grass with a small pad for the RV. Some shaded sites. Most are right on the canal. The sites are somewhat close but you do have plenty of space and they enforce the parking situations. They have a playground, three pools, lots of activities, you can't go wrong. The staff in the office who we saw everyday we went in (we stayed a week), were Shari and Jon. They were awesome. They helped with All questions and gave great suggestions on places to go and eat and see. We would stay here again anytime in the area. I don't think you can ask for better help, kindness and professionalism from these two people.
Thank you for a great week there!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Rachel L.Fredericksburg, VA010Oct 28, 2019
The only reason i am giving this campground 3 stars is for proximity to the beach and it is a beautifully kept campground. Otherwise, the management staff is unprofessional. They air issues on social media. Take a browse through their facebook page. All the full time campers are rude and complain and attack each other. Their outdated water sytem is frequently off for repairs. The sites are stacked in on top of each other as well. The area frequently experiences flooding due to no fault of their own but makes the campground unusable. Make sure to thoroughly read thier laws before joining. On top of hefty dues is also daily usage fees. We were disappointed to encounter the unorganized office staff and rude manager. Since we are members in another campground the unprofessional manner of this campground was a shock.

I only give one star because zero is not an option. I bought a membership at ICR over thirty years ago and have stayed there occasionally over the years. As one reviewer says, it's a nice resort, when it's not flooded out. But I've had repeated problems with the rental units being poorly maintained, moldy, and gas leaks, etc. And I've also frequently dealt with rude personnel. But the kicker was this. After years of membership I called to ask how I could go about discontinuing my membership, because I'm getting to the age where I can no longer make the trip and can no longer afford the annual maintenance dues. I was told my only option was to sell or give away the membership, that cancellation is not an option. I said "So you mean I have to keep paying the dues until I'm dead, whether I want it or not?" The answer was "yes." And "When my daughter inherits this, she'll have to pay until she's dead." The answer was "yes." The staff member was cold, curt, and insensitive and offered no useful information on how to go about listing a membership for resale while the internet is a quagmire of scam artists looking to rip off people trying to sell their timeshares or campground memberships. When I first bought my membership I was led to believe it might be worth something as an investment. But the fact, just like timeshares, you'd be lucky to give it away. Buyer beware. Once you are in you can't get out and they don't give a spit.
