Our server, Amber, was absolutely wonderful--warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a memorable meal!

First time eating here for a friend's birthday dinner, who's been coming here for years.
Tuna burger wasn't good - just kind of salty-mushy. Other items were fine.

We had a dinner reservation for the three of us, but the server was unattentive and very slow moving. He didn't check on us once, and we had to flag him down for more chips and more water. A birthday dessert seemed out of the question, so we left after getting the check.

The restaurant itself is very nice and clean, however, I think the food was a bit overrated. The food is just okay for the price that you're paying. Additionally, two of the three times that I dined here, the waiters weren't the best.

Great Ambiance and clean environment! Mr. Jacks crispy chicken was a hearty portion and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion. Our server was very nice, but service could have been faster, this might have been because of the high guest volume.

Absolutely marvelous. It was truly a pleasure to be dined in this restaurant. Wonderous staff, great food, and excellent all together.

0 stars. I made a reservation here for my family, we arrived 5 mins early for our reservation just to have our table given to the waitress's friends right in front of our face. They knew they messed up and tried to hide it. Had to wait 5 more mins for them to figure out what to do, so they pulled up a wobbly table to get us somewhere to sit for a reservation I made a week ago. Why make a reservation if you're not even going to honor it? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I cannot express this enough, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!

I have been frequenting this location as my preferred location but the food has noticeably gone done hill over the last year. I used to think they had the best burger which I ordered today at medium temperature and it came out as a greasy bloody crumbling mess. The buns were super soggy from all the grease and I didn't really want to eat stringy uncooked crumbles of meat. Service is hit or miss depending on who you get. When you pay 50 bucks for a drink and a burger one would hope to like it. Probably won't return again.

First time at J. Alexanders for a dinner, on the strong recommendation of a long-time local fan. All-around great experience. Service was very helpful, friendly and efficient. House said was very good; caesar salad was ordinary. Ribs and crab cake entrees were outstanding. You can tell that they care about the local clientele and that is sadly rare today in the Nashville area and worthy of praise! Will be back!

The food was flavorful and the ambiance was nice. It was a mixed crowd of people celebrating, date nights, work crowd, and families.
Our server was Cassie. She was delightful and checked on us with the right timing.
I ordered the crab cakes which were full of lump crab. There is way more crab than breading which I can appreciate. My only complaint is that my food could have been a bit warmer. I didn't feel like sending it back. I paired it with a glass of Riesling.
Something to note, this is also known as Redlands. Overall, I would say this restaurant is worth a try. Enjoy it!
