I tried JC Penney Salon in Central Park for the first time and saw Angie for a partial highlight and cut. Angie did a fantastic job! The salon is huge, with only a couple of stylists working while I was there. The lighting was good and the place was clean. This really is a hidden gem and literally tucked away in the back of the department store.
I showed Angie a photo of my last highlight and cut. She matched it perfectly! (Same color and cut as my profile pic.) Angie really listened to what I wanted, she's very friendly and personable. Plus I was in and out in a couple of hours. On top of all this the cost was very reasonable. Great quality for a good price. Angie suggested instead of just coming back in 3 months for another highlight that I come in at the half-way mark for a toner application ($20). This will keep the color fresh and bright. I went to the one on central avenue in Aurora and they were great!!! Nice people and the hair stylist did a great color and trim will come back you guys are amazing

I decided I wanted to get my hair professionally colored. I made an appointment for 1 pm. I arrived at my appointment at 12:40 and there was no one at the desk or in the Salon. My appointment was at 1pm and still no one anywhere to be found in the salon. At 1:15 a store employee walking by asked if I had been helped. I said "no" and I had been there for 35 minutes and haven't seen anyone and my appointment was now 15 minutes overdue. She called on the overhead for someone in the salon. No one came, 10 minutes later she called over the overhead again. Still no one came. She asked who my appointment was with and I told her. She told me that person had called out and was not in on that day. I decided to just leave since there was obviously no one in the salon and no one was responding to the overhead call in the store for someone to come to the salon for a customer waiting. 3 hours after my appointment I receive a call from the salon manager who did apologize for the person who called out and could not do my appointment. She did offer me a 20% off of a next service and wanted to know if I would like to reschedule. I told her no thank you and thank you for the call. I will not be returning them or trying them again as it was ridiculous that there was no one even in the salon for over 30 minutes and no one came to the salon when called over the overhead for a customer needing service, and then to call 3 hours after the appointment time. I understand that people call out but to have absolutely no one in the salon to deal with any customers for over 30 minutes is just ridiculous and to not get a call ahead of my appointment time to reschedule due to the stylist being out sick, only to received a call 3 hours after the appointment time to reschedule is crazy.

Less than one Star. Went back and it was made worse, 4 nights of tears now and months to grow out. Run the other other way. They blamed it on me , cause yeah I wanted this horrible cut........ hard IT WAS MY FAULT...... clueless and hairless.

You can go there if you want a free haircut because they can't cut a stacked bob. It was so bad they they didn't charge my wife anything and they kept saying " It will grow back in a month or two" " It will grow back". we're so sorry. I showed them a pic of a stacked bob and this is what my wife got. See photos

I had already reviewed this store, but forgot to add that the Manager, with whom I spoke about the inexperienced newbie out of school who screwed up my long hair after asking her not to, Manager didn't even offer any kind of refund. At least, the Manager could have offered some sort of refund, as the stylist pretending to know what she was doing did charge full-price as most mid-level experienced designers. No, I am not likely to return to This store again. Two Thumbs Down.

The young "stylist," smiled telling me she would be my Designer. I explained that time and again, stylists often don't listen nor Care about the clients needs or request, but take it upon themselves to take advantage of opportunity over client satisfaction. This young lady, nice in personality, was instructed and advised of these and I had asked that she remove Only 3 inches from bottom of length and to keep the length. I also had hair feathers that I asked her to Not Cut. She asked if I wanted it layered, which was a Big mistake for me to agree for her to do. While it appeared she was doing what I asked, she actually Cut the feathers, Over-layered my hair (Chop Job middle upper/outer layer in back), cut 4 INCHES off my hair or More, and then was really very proud of herself and took photos for her portfolio. I got home and realized she jacked up my request and now I've got to re-grow what took me forever to grow!!! I called the manager, who kindly returned my call and complained about this young lady and it turns out she was Fresh out of Beauty College. The Mgr. was kind and would have a conversation with the girl, but I will NEVER likely return to the Town Center Aurora Store, though there are Master Designers there who would know what the heck they're doing. I will find a different store and Only go with Master Designers, and they, the staff, Should Not have allowed her to chop off my hair and should have intervened. Really so Disappointing.
If/when you visit the JC Penney's salon Town Center Aurora, ask Only for a Master Designer. Do.Not.Allow the younger, newer Student to do Anything to your hair outside a Trim and if you don't mind losing more length than you requested, go with her incompetence. I hope she will learn from her presumptiveness and the Manager will pretty much spot check her from now on!

Page is the ultimate professional when it come to hair! I have been her client for almost 10 years. She has been my colorist since the beginning. She consistently provides knowledge and insight to the newest hair trends. I feel like I have a partner in Page who truly cares about my hair.

I am a serial Salon hopper... Always looking for someone to get my color and cut correct. I wandered upon this location randomly when shopping at JCP. Who knew? I have now been back 4 times for a cut and color with Abigail and have been pleased thus far. She is a younger stylist but is always quick to ask her manager for direction when needed and has not let me down.

I just love this salon in Northfield Stapleton. Page has my hair looking marvelous! Page is professional yet down to earth. I am so glad the salon has opened. It was nice and very clean. I missed you all so much. It was worth the wait.

I went to the JCP Salon to find a specific shampoo for my freshly highlighted blonde hair. After lots of research I decided on Chi.
As I walked towards the salon, a male employee (I assume the GM) said hello and to let him know if I needed any help.
As I walked in, I couldn't find the specific shampoo and the female employee pointed out the shampoo and that it was recently repackaged. After hearing that, I decided to stand and look for online reviews to make sure it was the same shampoo... Clearly, I trust the internet more than employees.
A couple seconds went by and the manager (I believe) started to ask about my hair and what I should be looking into for bleach blonde hair. We ended up discussing all the brands and he recommended AG brand and Redkins. He explained to me that he has 35 years of experience and at that point, I knew he would be giving me expert advise.
After he gave me recommendations he checked his system for the price, because they were having a sale but he didn't think AG would be on sale. Luckily, it was buy one get one for a penny! SCORE!
I ended up walking out with 4 new products at a great deal. After this wonderful visit, I know I will be stopping at the JCP Salon for hair products before I step foot into Ulta! Not trying to diss Ulta, buutttt this place has WAY better customer service, hair care knowledge, AND spectacular sales!
Fun tid-bit: I have trust issues, so once I got to my car, I ended up looking for customer reviews on all the products I bought. Everything, I mean, EVERYTHING I was recommended was highly rated. So this just goes to show, this place knows what they are doing.
