About the Business
Since opening their first pizzeria, Jet's has been selling pizza, submarine sandwiches and salads that have been pleasing the palates of people everywhere. But the single menu item that Jet's Pizza has become famous for, above anything else, is their signature deep-dish square pizza. It is this style of pizza, and the way it is exclusively prepared, that differentiates Jet's Pizza from any other pizzeria on the planet. Jet's Pizza only uses the highest quality ingredients; they have built their business, their reputation, and their taste on keeping it that way.

They just don't care and it's evident in the food they present. Decent quality when served hot and in one piece but something is going on with management to let quality like this out of the kitchen.
Followed up by management this morning just from seeing this post, excellent management skills Doug, owners are lucky to have you! Credit for next time and we will definitely order again, hopefully delivered by someone else. Thanks again Doug!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony A.Lake Bluff, IL142161492Sep 7, 2016Updated review
Well, maybe I was wrong to give them the benefit of the doubt. I placed in order this past August and dealt with some serious unprofessional employees.
I placed an online delivery order before the dinner rush, which arrived well after an hour. Keeping in mind that the restaurant is 3 miles from my house. My order of turbo stix came with a side of marinara sauce. When I opened the box I found that the sauce was cold, not lukewarm but cold as if it had just come out of the fridge. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager. The man I spoke with was pretty apathetic and was not very clear.
He gave me some run around about how they make their own sauce and refrigerate it. When I asked if they heat it up before sending it out on delivery orders, he said no. I find this strange because I ordered the same item from the Wheeling location and the sauce was piping hot.
Did the manager lie to me or am I the one who is supposed to heat the sauce up? This was very disrespectful service. When I placed a complaint to Jet's Pizza I never heard back.
What is it going to take for this location to shape up?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 27, 2015Previous reviewLet's shed some light on this place with a recent, rational review shall we?
I placed an online delivery order for a large hand tossed pizza with pepperoni and bacon. Got a flavored crust at no extra charge. I chose the turbo crust (butter, garlic, romano cheese), but there are a lot more choices available. I ordered some boneless chicken wings as well. You have your choice of sauce: plain, BBQ, honey BBQ, sweet red chili, mild and hot sauce. Since there's no "buffalo sauce" I went with the hot sauce.
The pizza was pretty good. Toppings were great, cheese was tasty, sauce was a little scarce but still good and while the crust was a little tough it wasn't that bad. The boneless wings were also very good. The hot sauce was indeed pretty darn hot.
Only little snag was that they were out of the bleu cheese dressing I ordered but they were able to substitute with ranch. Complete order took about little less than an hour. All in all it was a pretty good meal. It isn't the best pizza I've had but I still would love to have it again. - Ben T.Round Lake, IL070Dec 8, 2016
Jets pizza.
It's like what the young mind remembers the best pizza Hut to be. Greasy, meaty, cheesy with a thick crunchy crust.
Except this Jet's pizza is kind of a joke. They take forever, they can't jeep their place clean. Last time I ordered there they wouldn't take my coupon. I asked why. "We aren't taking coupons today". They wouldn't honor the coupon and wouldn't give us an explanation.
Not ordering from from there again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mick B.Fairfield Glade, TNJul 31, 2013Updated review

Thank you for your business and support of Jet's Libertyville.
Aug 22, 2012Previous reviewHooray! Detroit's famous Jet's Pizza is now open in the far north Chicago Burbs!
Let's get this clear that I understand the concept that "great pizza" is a very personal thing. Some people are Pizza Hut fans and others are Jersey family owned onesie pizza place fans. Jet's Pizza tastes to me like the old school East coast immigrant run neighborhood pizza places, but from an up and coming regional chain.
I feel that great pizza starts with great sauce, and the sauce in Jet's Pizza is the main draw, but I love their flavorful pepperoni! For a real treat try their "Spicy" pepperoni... be warned, when they say "spicy" they mean it!
Jet's offers 8 different crust flavors: Cajun, Poppy Seed, Sesame Seed, Shredded Parmesan, Butter, Garlic, Romano and their "Turbo Crust" which is Butter + Garlic + Romano. There is no additional charge for flavorizing the crust of your pizza.
Crust styles are deep dish, hand tossed and New York style thin.
Add to this their great Subs, calzones (they call them "boats"), bread sticks (with 4 different dipping sauces), and salads. It may sound weird from a pizza place, but I am hooked on their Tuna Deli Boat; heaven on a baked pizza crust.
Beverages are Coca-Cola products with individual bottles and 2L family size available.
This location doesn't have catering menus printed up yet (because they are so recently opened) but the prices I have seen quoted by other locations are extremely competitive.
They seem to always have coupons on the website and also on the back of their take out menus. Online ordering is also available. I posted a printable scan of the coupons on their take out menu. You're welcome.
I prefer to call ahead so the pizza is ready when I get there, but there is a small waiting area for customers if you forgot to call ahead. There is no dining area as such- it is a classical "take out only" pizza place.
Give their heavenly 8-corner deep dish pizza a try (it's really 2 4 slice deep dish pizzas baked together). You'll like it! - B N.Deerfield, IL1161Sep 14, 2015
I religiously used to eat Jet's Pizza prior to a recent move. Of course, after I moved to this new area, I looked for the closest location. This happened to be it. This is my second time here and I've been disappointed both times. What draws me to Jet's is their "Turbo" crust. Twice I've asked specifically for the "Turbo" crust on my pizzas, and both times I did not receive the "Turbo" crust. I wish they had been more attentive to my order details. Shame on me for not checking before I left the counter!
Secondly, I'm grateful for Groupon because of occasional coupons to local establishments. I recently purchased Groupon vouchers for this Jet's location. The first time I was allowed to use it for a Monday evening special (1-topping for $8.99). However, I returned a few weeks later to discover that I'm no longer allowed to use the Groupon on the Monday special. I've reread the terms and conditions on the Groupon page and there were no exclusions listed. I'm disappointed that Jet's accepted the Groupon and then declined it a few weeks later. If you're not going to accept the Groupon, please incorporate it in the fine print on the Groupon page. It's very misleading to diners.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alan R.Glenview, IL187641131Jan 26, 2013
In Chicago, Pizza is serious business. Devotees of a true Chicago Deep Dish and thin (chicago cut) crust pizza are beyond loyal. I would say Chicagoans are among the most loyal people in the country. Like Domino's and Little Ceasar's, Jet's is from Detroit.
The kind people of Jet gave out free slices today. It was a small marketing idea for Jet to give out the free pizza. It seems to be the new thing for out of town Pizza to try and make it here. From Roots in Rock Island, CT style pizza and Piece, everyone wants a piece of the Chicago Pizza market.
Jet's was more like Pizza bread than pizza. The sauce was too sweet and crust way too doughy.
I will definitely stay with Malnati's, D'Ags and most of the other Chicago places. I do love Piece though. There are at least a 1/2 dozen other pizza places down the street to try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim S.Long Grove, ILOct 5, 2016
Greasy old warmed up slices of "kid pizza" yuck!!! How did this crap ever get served in the Chicago area? Where did it come from? Detroit? Home of papa Johns crap and little cesars crap and now this crap?

I love Jet's pizza mostly because their pizza is crispy and the flavor reminds me of how Pizza Hut used to be. BUT today I placed an order for carry out at a later time. I ordered an extra large deep dish cheese pizza, I had a coupon from the entertainment book for 50% off a single pizza so it was a good deal. When I went to pick up my pizza all the employees were in the back so I peeked inside trying to get their attention. To my dismay I noticed one of the employees putting chunks of cheese into their shredder with his BARE hands.. not only did he just place it inside but he was PLAYING with it as it came out shredded on the bottom. I was shocked at how much he was playing with it, constantly shuffling it and pressing it like a kid in a sand box!! Finally he saw me and came to the front. I told him I was picking up so he gets my pizza and proceeds to punch in numbers into the cash register with is cheesy bare hands. Then I tell him I have the coupon so I pull out my app and show it to him. To this he says he needs to get his manager. So, the manager comes and HE TOO with dirty grimy and greasy hands proceeded to check me out. I handed him my card and when I got it back it was so greasy I had to wipe it off before putting it back in my wallet. Same thing when he gave me the receipt, his greasy fingerprints all over it. I was totally turned off. As soon as I got my box I could tell it wasn't hot. I was indeed a few minutes late but not so late for it to be at room temperature. When I got in the car I opened the pizza and see that about a quarter of it is very thin as opposed to the rest of the pizza. I specifically asked for deep dish and they told me the extra large only comes in deep dish anyway. I had to reheat the pizza at home and hope that the oven killed all the germs from their bare hands that WHO KNOWS where they had been before making my pizza! PLEASE WEAR GLOVES!!

Sort of Sicilian style thick crust, square rather than round. Fresh ingredients, the sausage on the combo was very good. My wife had the NY foldable and was happy with it too.

Jets pizza sent an ad in the Clipper Coupon book to my house, 5 miles from their location, so we decided we would give them a try. We called and were told we were outside of their delivery zone. THEN DON"T SEND COUPONS AND OFFER DELIVERY TO RESIDENTS OUTSIDE OF YOUR DELIVERY TERRITORY.
Good luck trying to be gain market share not delivering 5 miles from your location. You have many competitors that are glad to take your business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
