I hate when I come to shop I hear some customers using there complaints as a threat to get someone fired based on there emotions when that workers performance from what I seen where great and I've been to both K&G's it disappoints me to think that the company would even allow the satisfaction of suck an evil people I hope not

We bought 2 suits that needed alterations. The alterations were terrible with poor workmanship in the stitching. And they were wrinkled. We had to take them to a local cleaners to be pressed. They charged us for the alterations and creasing.

My partner and I are getting married later this year and we were looking for suits for our wedding. By a stroke of luck, we were recommended to come here to check their stuff out, and I was so happy we visited. Sheila, Dan and Iman were all very friendly and helpful picking out our suits and fitting us. I am very satisfied with my experience, and very grateful for their help.

The Steelyard K&G sucks and I will never return nor will I recommend it to anybody. The actual shopping experience is not bad but not good either cause if you're looking for help or suggestions forgetaboutit.
The one-star rating is because of the horrible checkout experience. I got hollered at by an associate cause I hit the wrong button on the debit/credit card reader. I told her not to raise her voice at me again and she stormed off and yelled at another associate to take care of this (expletive)! I forgot what derogatory name she referred to me as. I retaliated and uncharacteristically called her a name.
After I was checked out the associate who handled me, said she hopes I never come back there again. Huh? Is this how K&G train their associates, to rush and holler at senior citizens?
I called their Customer Service line and received a callback where some dole attempted to comfort me and at the end emailed me a $5 coupon to use on my next purchase. K&G sucks and I will never go back to the Steelyard location again. Don't shop where you spend your money and get disrespected for doing so. I am posting today about the horrible customer service experience I just had at K&G Fashion Superstore located in Golden Gate plaza (in Mayfield Hts OH). I took my dad there last week to purchase a suit for our cousin's funeral this Saturday. The suit needed alterations, so the tailor that was on duty marked the sleeves and the pants because they were too long. She wrote up a ticket and advised us to pay at the register. My dad paid for the suit along with a few accessories and the alterations and was told to come back in a week to pick up the tailored suit. We returned to the store today to pick up the suit and once he tried it on we realized that the sleeves were never shortened. We sought help from one of the floor associates and was informed that the alteration for the sleeves was omitted from the ticket and therefore we were not charged.
So now we have to come back again to pick up the suit because the tailor forgot to alter the sleeves. My dad spoke with the tailor and showed her where she marked the sleeves. She apologized for her mistake and said it would be $18 to alter. My dad stated that he should receive a discount for the inconvenience. A manager named Donnell or Darnell (not quite sure which is correct) came to address the issue. He was extremely rude and aggressive. He informed my dad that "he is not the owner so he can't do anything about the price" and went on to say that "it is only $18". My father told the manager that he is now being inconvenienced and the manager told him "well you aren't getting anything for free". I asked for the number to the corporate office and Donnell told me "I mean I'm sure you can google it."
Money is not an issue...my dad was not trying to get anything for free. My dad was becoming upset and he said "look sir, I have cancer and it is a struggle for me to.." and the manager waved him off and said "yeah I get that but we will not be doing any alterations for free".
So I lost it. How dare this man just dismiss the fact that my father has cancer. I brought this to his attention and he said "I heard him..I am just letting him know we deal with all kinds of situations." Wow. No empathy...no sympathy...no ownership of the issue. The associate that originally was helping us named Willie Battle approached me at this time and told me that he did not want to inconvenience my dad and that he would bring the suit to my dad's home FREE OF CHARGE. This man went above and beyond and for that I am truly grateful. I will be writing their corporate office but I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience and give Mr. Willie Battle kudos for a job well done. The tailor agreed to take 50% off for the mistake and my dad will have his suit in time for the funeral. God is good!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

The prices are great, the selection is great. Items for men & women. They usually always have a great sale going on.
The ladies at the register don't have much of a sense of humor, but you just can't beat the prices.
They can tailor your clothes there as well. I found those guys to be very friendly & helpful. They can even help you find a suit if they're not busy sewing.

Not a good shopping experience at all. It takes forever to find someone for assistance. The store is not organized. Sizes are mixed while the staff play on their phones.

I have been in K&G in Mayfield several times but after my last experience don't think I will ever shop there again after how I was treated . I went there one evening looking for suites and the sales lady tried her best to help me but unfortunately the manager must of not wanted to be bothered because her attitude sucked .They had a deal by one suite get one so I picked out a suite and then I was getting a shirt as well but I wanted to try it on because I live to far to be running back and forth manager told me no and then just walked away . So then I went to go pay for the suits they didn't ring up the sale price so again the manager was called so with an attitude she says now what cashier explained what's going on then manager say to it's a curtain name brand suit I say ok then she just walked away and I went back and changed out the suites once again I attempted to cash out and again the suites didn't ring up as the sale price so cashier called manager once again here come this nasty attitude manager and said what's the problem now I said you told me curtain brand suite on sale I go and get it and the still wrong she looks at the suite and say to me it has to be a $149 suite not $169 I said are you kidding me.then then she just walked away. So after almost 2hrs. In that store I walked out with nothing .
