I'm not typically one to write a review on Yelp unless asked and especially not a negative review. However, I felt this one is important so others are aware of the potential risks they deal with when they get a car wash at Kaady Car Wash.
We took our mini van (a one year old, toyota sienna) for a car wash so the kids can enjoy the drive through experience.
Almost immediately, as we entered the carwash, the windshield split down the middle vertically.
When the car came, I went over to the attendant, who took my info to make a claim and said this was the third time this had happened this month. (Mind you, they are only open about five months.)
He then told me that this is likely the result of the temperature change as it was 100 degrees outside and the water they were using was super cold. He made a report and told me they would contact me.
Side note: If that is a normal result of a temperature change, the carwash shouldn't be open on super hot days, especially if this is the third time this month that it has happened this month.
When the company reached out to me, they declined to take responsibility for it, saying that it was the result of a crack in my window. They sent me the attached images. What I found most strange is that the crack didn't happen in the area they claimed it was.
Below is the message they sent me.
I'm sharing this so others know not to go there, especially on hot days, as you risk your car.
Thanks!
From Kaady Car Wash:
We are sorry to hear about the crack in your windshield. Although uncommon, when glass develops a crack in a car wash, it is due to a pre-existing condition and the car wash is simply exposing this pre-existing issue (most commonly a defect or rock chip). When a windshield has a defect or rock chip, it compromises the integrity of the glass by over 95% and it will eventually develop into a crack. There are several conditions that cause a rock chip or defect to develop into a crack, turning on your air conditioning/defrost on a hot day, a bump in the road, aggressively closing your car door with the windows up, pouring warm water on a frozen windshield, or what happens in the car wash, putting cold water on a hot windshield. On a sunny day, the windshield absorbs heat and rises to a high temperature. When entering the car wash, cold water sprays on the windshield and the windshield experiences thermal shock. When this occurs the windshield rapidly contracts and if there is any imperfection in the windshield, that imperfection can spread into a crack. Windshields are very unpredictable in the car wash and not something we can guarantee. We try to be upfront about customers responsibility for windshields by having a posted sign listing a few items customers are responsible for. Windshields are one of these items. I have attached photos showing the chip in your windshield before going through the car wash. We are unable to participate in any windshield replacement. As a goodwill gesture, we can send you some complimentary car washes but that is the extent of what we can do.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Charles C.San Jose, CA0319Sep 10, 2024
There is a well-dressed employee who helped us out when we got to the pay station and he kindly directed us to the next check point where another employee made sure the car lined up with the tracks.
We put the car in N and after a few moments, the car was washed and dried!
This is much better than some of the other automatic carwashes near the area. This is very convenient and the price is right!
Also there was no line of cars so we drove in and out in a matter of minutes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 3, 2024
New car wash. Looks shiny and very clean.
The employees are super professional, dressed in white button up shirts. I commend them.
$10 and $15 introductory pricing.
The track to drive into the wash is neat, you don't need to line your tires up so precisely. It's wide and doesn't have rails to try to fit your tires in, IYKYK. Which is nice, you don't need to stress.
The wash is quick, the drying ducts are so big and strong, dries the car quickly.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2024
4 stars for the $10 wash quality - I honestly can't tell the difference between the 15 and the 10 dollar option
BUT they have the MOST Cheerful polite staff there - Consistently everyone since time I go = I am happily and politely greeted with genuine kindness and effeciency -not sure why other business can't seem to find this level of staffing.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 1 - Fenasi K.Tiburon, CA4155120Nov 7, 2024
Very powerful, I highly recommend closing mirrors maybe even remove your wipers. They may be gone by time you come out. They would put a tape on normally, but the kid did not. I lost my rear wiper blade and blind spot mirror.

New place opened up for at least couple months now and have already came here multiple times to know that it is a great car wash! Had a really good experience here. Was greeted by friendly staff who explained in simple instructions on what to do once I go into the actual wash. These guys are really nice and helpful so cheers to them! A lot of people forget to turn off their automated wipers, so it is nice they have signs as reminders to turn them off to prevent any damage.
The experience itself was very fast! It's fully automated car wash so don't expect the same results as if it was taken to a hand wash place. If you want full detail interior and exterior then I would go to a hand wash detailing place where you will expect to pay more. But this one is by far the best automated car wash! I would recommend anyone to come here if they are looking for an automated car wash.
Price point is $10 but $15 if you want everything. Still beats the price from other places! I just wished they do touchless car wash so it doesn't ruin the paint in the long run.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jun 10, 2024
Came on a whim during my lunch. Was promptly greeted and told where to pull up. I got the $15 was and not sure if all of it was some how activated when I drove through, but it beats paying $40 for just an outside wash at my local car wash in Sunnyvale.
The only thing I didn't like, was the air jets at the end. A few times I heard something on my car push in and out a few times because the jets were so strong.
Either way, aside from that, I will probably be back when I need a quick wash that takes only a few minutes of my day.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 3 - Lana T.Sparks, NV52213Sep 28, 2024
My first time here after they took over and remodeled the old Lozano's. $10 for a drive through car wash without ever stepping out of the car. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. All the staff were super professional. And I even received a dash wipe to clean the interior dash! Best value in town. The huge swiveling brushes and the multiple dryers blowing air were both very powerful and did a great job cleaning and drying. I will wash my car more often at this great price and recommend to others!

I missed the ribbong cutting ceremony where free washes were given from 12-5pm. However, I showed up the next day which was pretty hot in terms of weather. There are 3 lanes in which the staff guides you to pull in forward before going through the car wash.
Two options are given either $10 or $15. I chose the $10 and paid with credit card. Please keep in mind they do not take cash payment only card and they do not have change. I wanted to break my $20 bill to tip them all for working under the hot weather but instead bought them all refreshments.
The car wash itself does a pretty solid job I have to say. Definitely beats those gas station car washes. Its not perfect in comparison to having it polished and waxed by hand but definitely worth the $10. Had this place had had detailing, waxing, tire shining, drying, I would definitely give it a 5 star. I'd still come back though. :)Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 1 - Mar 24, 2024First to Review
3.5 solid stars for this automatic car wash that has taken the place of Lozanos. There are only 2 people working here which is a drastic difference from the 20 that worked at Lozanos. This is a slightly upscale automatic car wash that has about twice the number of machines that a usual car wash place in a gas station might offer. The cost is $10 for regular and $15 for pro. I got the pro wash and it wasn't bad.
What do I think would bring it to 5 stars?
Two things a car wash in Tracy has that is also an upscale automatic car wash.
1) vacuums that allow people to vacuum the inside of their cars.
2) A rain guarantee that if it rains within 72 hours one can get an automatic wash.
Other than that this is a solid and quick place to get one's car cleaned.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2
