Came here recently to buy chocolates as Holiday gifts for my colleagues. I'm in a large company so I couldn't afford individual gift baggies but got those custom pick set where you can pick any flavors up to a certain weight/# of pieces. They have scales to weight your bags and let you know how many you are missing or if over. Most cases, we were under as it was hard to count 150 pcs at a time when you are having fun going around the table choosing different flavors.
I signed up for membership online which you can earn points. Check them out. They have so much at the shop. It is such a cute shop and everyone is so cheery and friendly.
There was a deal of 2 for $44 (75pc or 31.7oz) or a tote for $42 (150pcs or 63.4oz) and other smaller bag sizes in between. I believe it is still going on. I came twice (2 days in a row) because decided to get more for other colleagues and for my husband's team.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 21, 2021
They provided plastic gloves and hand sanitizer for customers to use for picking chocolates from their selection.
They had some pretty decent deals for the holidays (boxes and ornaments we can fill up with chocolates) as well as their usual $9.99/0.5 lb for the truffles.
There's also more chocolates in the back that are a bit pricier. Must be good though because I saw someone just pack a whole bag of one type of chocolate.
No more complimentary chocolate truffle when you walk in though. Only if you make a purchase. Sign up for Lindt Rewards online beforehand (I didn't even know about it) to get points.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jan 18, 2021
I always love going into a physical Lindt Shops because you can mix and match all the different chocolate balls they have.
I got their milk chocolate powder drink and it was very underwhelming. Staff told me it tasted rich and is "dark chocolate" but it tasted very milky for me as you're supposed to mix it with milk instead of water. I don't recommend it... just stick with buying their chocolates!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2020
Not a huge store but certainly a delicious favorite. I always bring my friends when they visit NYC and we stroll Fifth Avenue.
I thought I reviewed. I'm glad my photos are still posted. I don't Photo every time I visit. The employees are gracious. I ask contents for allergies and they are patient. I am always provided a free sample. You can buy a few or a lot! Such cute gifts for every season.
If you're a candy lover visit this store. It has the feel of an old fashioned candy store to me. I always enjoy my visit. I always go when it's not crowded too!Helpful 85Thanks 0Love this 76Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2019
So there I was walking along Fifth Ave when suddenly was transported by my long legs into the Lindt Chocolate shop! "Chocolate Heaven on earth!"
I roared. Because they were giving free samples upon entering, I wore several disguises ;)
Who can resist this place filled with every flavor imaginable?
The location is perfect especially when shopping on Fifth and you're feeling faint from walking 100 yards and need a pick-me-upper. Enter Lindt's shop!
Please see the photos of available flavors that seem to go infinitum! ...or at least till closing hours :/
True story: bought chocolates to take back for friends but ate them :0
Gives me an excuse to return and jump into the center isle filled with colors galore!Helpful 49Thanks 0Love this 48Oh no 0 - Jun 9, 2019
Cool shop with beautiful colors and display of truffles. They provide free samples upon entering with the new flavors (milk chocolate mint and pistachio).
Was hoping they served ice cream and hot chocolate like in Europe, was saddened by that.
Bought a small bag of goodies with the high touristy prices. It was worth the walk though. Maybe will return in the future or see if NYC has a larger store comparable to Europe.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jun 12, 2019
First of all, 5 star for the shop always giving out samples as soon as you walked in. I had the mint chocolate this time and it was delicious.
I decided to give in and got an array of flavors. You could mix and match as one section has the chocolates by pound. If you are looking for gift sets, there were plenty of options to choose from or simply some chocolate bars that will satisfy your sweet tooth. There are always some new flavors like the pistachio ones that they are promoting now. And there are some seasonal items as well.
It's conveniently located in a tourist area in midtown on 5th Avenue. Happy eating!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2019Updated review
Stopped here again - there were five workers that I counted tonight, and only one was handing out candy, the rest were restocking the store and when the line for the register was three deep, then one realized they should start having the customers pay... -sigh- Lovely chocolate, need better processing/operations.
Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Apr 20, 2014Previous reviewA crowded Lindt just off 5th Avenue (there's one actually just a little further up that is also similarly crowded with tourists and visitors), they have a little fresh chocolate/chocolate strawberry station up front, and a four-cashier register to the back left of the store. A center space with individual truffles that you can pack up yourself is available and a back European chocolate pick-your-own is available, too - the queue is slow, but the chocolate is tasty. They had a free truffle (sea salt) as you walk in today. Staff here is rushed and not really prone to explain anything - they're just too harried.

Was in the area doing some shopping and decided to stop by this chocolate shop. Small but packed inside with walls of chocolate of all different types.
Several options of packaged lindt balls, bars, squares, and pyramids were available. However the most enticing was the chocolate bark section. Opted for a large piece of the Milk Chocolate Tree Nut Bark ($4). A nutty and decadent chocolate mix that we finished between two people quickly. The purchase also came with two free Lindt balls which is always great.
People here try to keep the crowd outside as much as possible. Don't have milkshakes/drinks here would be the only drawback.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Karina G.Middle Village, Queens, NY159473Jan 29, 2021
Excellent quality chocolates and the store was very clean and orderly.
3 stars taken off because the employee never greeted me when she opened the door (I was the only one waiting outside for them to open...just unlocked it, pushed on the door, and then walked away) was rather surly the entire time during checkout, and didn't appreciate the fact that I earlier asked if they had any special promotions that day ( just pointed at the chocolates and said in a snotty voice " we don't have any special offers" and walked off---gee, sorry lady, didn't mean to personally offend you with that question.
Walked out with about $50 worth of custom mix chocolate truffles, nonetheless...because hey, it's chocolate. Was first time visiting--Won't return to that location due to the attitude though. Time for me to continue buying the bagged Lindt chocolates at CVS..at least the ladies there appreciate my business and don't make me feel like a bother by being there..Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
