I had a few sushi rolls and some edamame. it was good. The quality wasn't bad but not great. The only actual problem I had with the place was how large the sushi rolls were. I feel like sushi is a delicacy and is meant to be eaten in one bite otherwise you're not getting all the flavor you're supposed to. The sushi pieces are too large to eat in one bite. This also makes it difficult to eat with chopsticks which just takes away from the whole experience. You guys should consider shrinking them to at least a reasonable size. Theres a reason you're the only people in town doing this. If people liked that then everyone would be doing it. Just something to think about

I ordered a California roll and a crab roll, two bites in and I see a cockroach right in front of me. All they did was make excuses and still saw for to charge for the whole meal. Didn't even touch the crab roll. Very unprofessional, I'd advise against this place

I was confused when I drove by I thought they had gone out of business because there are no open signs visible from the street and it has one boarded up door on the street side, but one day we noticed there were people parked in front of the restaurant and that's when we realize that the restaurant was in business. We decided to try it and let me tell you they make delicious fresh sushi rolls totally worth the money.. I say give them a try and who knows you may be surprised like we were

Called over the phone with 4 orders for pick up. I was hung up on before I finished my order with the girl over the phone where she replied "40 mins". My wife picked up the food where the same girl tossed the receipt in the TRASH and then gave the same receipt to my wife. Ended up for 5 orders and 60 bucks out the door. After inspecting the SPICY tuna roll ,was spoiled and so was the California roll . I called to ask for a refund and was yelled in her dialect and she refused to even let me talk ,so I hung up and went back to the place, she yelled at my wife and told her the tuna was fine when it clearly had a gross racid vinegar smell about resused to try the spicy tuna roll and only gave us our money back besides $10
I had one of the rolls WE DIDNT order and it was actually good. BUT WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

I have been going to maki sushi for years. The rolls are gigantic and you totally get what you pay for. Gregory is very friendly. If there were more stars I would hand them out. Just recently we came from Phoenix and I have been raving to my friends in Kingman for years about this place. I finally convinced them to come with me. We called and drove to Bullhead. Can you believe that they had stayed open a little later for us! Gregory came and introduced himself and gave my friends baby a coloring book and crayons and a piece of chocolate. They also made us their usual gigantic rolls. My friends were more than impressed. I can say with full confidence that you get more than you pay for here. My girl and I both try new sushi all over Phoenix and this little hole in the wall sushi restaurant in Bullhead City beats all these foofy fancy sushi places hands down every single time.

Three times in a row now we have been turned away at some random time. Why bother posting hours, this last time we even called ahead. I'm done, the food is all right but not enough to put up with this shit. Every other business is going the extra mile to make back some of the money lost during this crisis...not this place. Food is not worth the hassle. Don't waste your time, plenty of other restaurants in town, just look across the street, the Tokyo steak house is always packed. With good reason.

Waited 4 years before trying this place again. Hated it back then. This time was a very pleasant experience. The sushi was excellent. The size of the portions was triple of any sushi in the area.
Size is one thing, however flavor and freshness is more important. Maki did not disappoint in those areas. Didn't break the bank either. 2 of us were stuffed to the hilt for under $40. Could have done without that last order. But what the heck.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 8, 2013Previous reviewAfter reading the good reviews, we went here. Must have been a bad night. They made up for the bad taste by serving the portions extra large :-( One particular serving smelld lke my fish had a bad yeast infection. it was so bad I spit it out in my knapkin. We just moved here from westwood CA. and were dying for some good sushi as we had back there. What a dissappointment. But sushi for two with beers at $40. What can you expect.
