Manzanita Park is a very clean and well maintained park. The park has bathrooms, which were clean. This park has a lot of mature trees for shade. There is a walkway which goes through the park. There is a workout area. There is a tennis court. There is a full court basketball court. There is a baseball field. The baseball field does not have bases. There is a large, grassy area to play on. There is a covered eating area with BBQ grills and picnic tables. There are horseshoe pits. The playground looks outdated but is still in good condition. The playground is big with plenty of slides. There are swings and toddler swings at this park. Rubber pieces are located underneath the playground. There is a small parking lot to park in. If the lot fills up there is plenty of street parking on both sides of the park.

      Have fun out there.

I was wandering around the neighborhood eyeing Sam's Club when this little walkway of green caught my attention. It led to a huge green field with paved walkways and wooden bridges. It connects to surrounding walkways.

There is the main park entrance that had exercise and play equipment. Lots of playing fields.

      Plenty of dogs.

      Located in a residential area.

Reno's neighborhoods hide some great spaces and places, so I'm happy Yelp lead my family here for some pre-dinner Friday fun now that the sun is up a lot later!

Manzanita has a nice public outdoor basketball court, large open grassy area, covered pavilion with charcoal grills, and a fun playground for the kiddos. It's wide open with only two streets bordering the expansive park, both of which aren't too busy thanks to the location in the heart of this neighborhood.

The playground offers plenty for kids ranging from 3 on up. My 5 year old really enjoyed all of the variety here and my 2.5 year old had fun trying it all too. The playground isn't new but it is in pretty good shape, which is what I hope to see because it makes me feel safe with my kids on it.

The pavilion looked nice and I know it can be rented by permit for private events. I loved seeing a local family making a bbq there when it wasn't in use though and gave me ideas for the future!

      Review #142 - 2019

While trying to hunt down a basketball court for the teenage boys, we ended up at Yori Park, but the kids were not impressed and asked, "Can we go somewhere less ghetto?" LOL

I thought it seemed like a pretty nice park from the few photos that I was able to locate on Google, but I guess pictures do lie as it looked pretty messed up in person.

Luckily, this park was only about a 7-minute drive from there so the kids were much happier when we pulled up.

The boys were extremely happy with the shaded basketball court in the extreme heat, as well as my daughter was happy with the partly shaded playground.

This place has a little of everything for everyone in the family.

My 14-year old niece was happy sitting on the swings for a good half an hour & I even joined her.

There's a big grass area for kids to play other sports as well. We saw another family having a picnic & playing volleyball.

We'll definitely keep this place in mind for our future trips to Reno.

This is a nice big park in the middle of a neighborhood. There is a well kept playground with slides and swings, a basketball court, tennis court, fitness area and a nice field. I think there is also a decent trail, but I didn't get the chance to check it out. We will be back, for sure.

This is a great gem in a hidden part of town. Last weekend I attended a BBQ/event at this park with 100's of people. It has a lot of space, a big shelter and best of all, it's surrounded by slow-driving nice neighborhood streets. If I had to throw a big party, I'd definitely consider this location. There's a ton of parking. Imaginative and older children/adults would do best here as play structures are sparse. I imagine it'd be hard to keep little ones occupied here. The park has a "dated" look compared to other Reno parks.

      Beautiful day at the park

I really enjoy going to Manzanita Park. It has a large grass area that is great for when my dog wants to run around all crazy and chase her fetch toy. If you have children there is a pretty nice playground. It is super safe, not a lot of traffic so if you are worried about your dog or kid running into a busy street that won't happen.

There is plenty of parking on the street and in the small parking lot. It is located at the east of lakeside dr. and manzanita. If you have never been highly recomend going there and checking it out for yourself.

One of my favorite parks. They have a wide open field for anything you would ever want to do, especially running around with your dog or flying a kite. They just planted more trees in the area and it's a beautiful area. The children's playground is a bit older, but still in good condition. The field near the playground is open for baseball, football, and any other sports you can think of. Definitely a great place for family picnics and birthday parties.

This is a really nice hidden-away park. Sandwiched in between Manzanita and Singing Wood, there is access and parking on both sides. Loads and loads of green grass and shade trees make it a winner on a hot day. Lots of amenities, including a full basketball court, a baseball diamond, two tennis courts, horseshoe pits, bathrooms, and a party gazebo, mean lots of options for things to do. My favorite part is the sweet little paved trail that winds along a drainage creek with lots of trees. A nice bit of nature in the middle of the city!

Nice local park in Reno, it has a walking trail with several grass fields to play frisbee on or have a picnic. Everyone was very nice and said hello as I walked through the path. They had basketball courts, horseshoe pit and gazebo for BBQ events. Not sure if you need to reserve that space or if its just first come first serve. Either way it a nice option for the park. I did notice the water fountains weren't working which was a bummer since I had got rather parched while walking up the path. Once I got home my fitbit said i went 1.2 miles and I was surprised by that since it was a short little walk. I guess that's what they say - time flies when your having fun. It seemed very dog friendly since a lot of the people walking had their dogs with them.
