About the Business
MDCHS is located in Chula Vista, CA, in a beautiful newly-developed area in San Diego County. We are a private, coeducational institution that is under the guidance of the San Diego Diocese. The school is fully accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), and has a firm commitment to having each of our students gain acceptance to a four-year university after graduation. We continually strive to make our campus a place for the community, with many sports, arts and cultural events that are open to the public.

Sadly...
The auditorium was freezing cold even with long sleeves. The student presenters were nice and well rounded.
However during the staff presentation their principal constantly bad talked and compared their school to Cathedral Catholic.
"They are not diverse" were some of his comments. He could have spotlighted his school instead took the low road.
Lastly while the students were presenting and while walking to my seat; their theater coordinator ran down the aisle and into my back. He could've apologized yet instead gave me a glare.
I'm a small business owner, from my observations this school lacks character and leadership.
Please do your own research before committing to Matre Dei...

There were some inappropriate behaviors in the parking lot, and the football coach's attitude during the tour was quite off-putting. He mentioned something about "getting rid of all the riff raff" last year, which was unclear and concerning. Due to these factors, we decided to leave the school shortly after our visit.

Donnie R.San Diego, CA21530Aug 6, 2018Im doing this review becuase I referred a good friend of mine to this school. His three sons play multiple sports and are awesome students. Upon meeting the eager football coach my friend was very put off by some of his responses. And of course I felt absolutely horrible for making this referral. I Guess you could say the coach had a very dry personality for a person coming off several losing seasons ( we did our research). The president was nice and in my opinion should've done the talking for the coach( two stars for the president).
Campus is nice and there seems to be low student to teacher ratios. The curriculum is broad and doesn't seem to specialize in any one subject.
Reccomend-
1New football coach who will scour local area talent
2 Pick niche subject in S.T.E.M. and run with it
